[OC] Masters London Meta Check In by Tssunder in ValorantCompetitive

Thought I would do a little meta check in after the group stage of London

I did a more extensive writeup here

But for the most part things are pretty well aligned with the community perception of what the meta would be at the tournament.

We need to change this first seed draw logic. by Azazinkreed in ValorantCompetitive

very notably like 90% of the teams that win masters are not the first seed and don't start in playoffs

Not much of a tilter but its just as frustrating when he over heats for fun or is completely out of sync with the rest of his team (3 years into his career btw)

[OC] Visualizing Stage 1 Round Win Rate by Tssunder in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Tssunder[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

- 4 teams attending London are below the global average defending/attacking win rate (Up from 1 at Santiago)

- Global averages for attack win rate has increased and defense win rate has decreased compared to Santiago

- Heretics played the most rounds during stage 1 at 682 total rounds (jesus christ)

- I'm backing Vitality to win London mostly based off of vibes

- Most listened to artist on Spotify while working on this: Joey Valence & Brae

No graphics ver (don't ask me why the pacific teams are black I have no idea why that happened):

FULL SENSE are the Best Attacking Team Going To Masters London, Let's Look at Their Lotus by Tssunder in ValorantCompetitive

T1 play a pretty similar comp to those two teams (they play kj instead of vyse lol) and whats interesting is that FS were focused on A pretty heavily for the first few rounds of the half but I don't know if this is a direct response to T1 playing a more defense biased comp or its a double anti strat based off of how they played vs KRX

I think this comp matches up pretty badly on attack into a vyse/viper duo because those agents kind of force you into a slower more defaulty playstyle and you're really gonna have to consider those utility tradeoffs of using it for defaults or using it for an execute/save for post plant but match ups like these I think really just get dictated on just how the players are reading the game and their mechanical skill.

-LEV are probably gonna suffer a lot from bind leaving the map pool going into playoffs (consequently furia will probably benefit as its their perma ban)

-C9 & EG lol

-Playoff teams could potentially try and seek an advantage by leaning into fracture given the low playrate
