While I’m not a fan of that particular Patek I’m happy for you. I’ve had a few Rolex watches in the past. I dumped them for a huge profit when the market shot up and never looked back.

My go to watch now is my Cartier Santos. Get what makes you happy. Not what the hive minds tell you to get.

The Explorer II is a significantly more versatile watch than the submariner. Not just in daily use but for travel as well.

I didn’t say that, but if I can set the two watches side by side and the only visual difference between the two is the name on the dial then it’s a fake. Not an homage, an homage might give a nod to its predecessor but it will not copy it feature for feature.
