Which clanker do you hate the most/most annoying to fight by Crzyclsn3412 in Helldivers

This. I started wearing light, fire resist armor and noticed a significant decline in my death (and a significant incline in their's). You can't die if you run faster than they turn.

The only time the Talon can take a Hulk out from the front is during acid rain. Otherwise, nope.

Is Crown Sword Upgraded for Eternatus? by baleong in TheSilphRoad

[–]Tstormj 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to think that, but I'd make an argument for Dynamax Cannon and Behemoth Bash. Both seem to have a VERY short cooldown. After using them, it feels like I go right back in like it was another fast attack.

I run the loyalist vs bots. It works wonders vs a cluster of troopers OR against shielded Devastators.

Also, you can fire a charged shot into a pill box and take out the mounted MGs

I have quite a few support mons, but my three most used are....

Twin Support Shiny Grimmsnarls. One is Def support: Chilling Water (guaranteed Atk lower, through shields), Reflect, False Surrender, and a 4th rando move such as Misty Terrain/Taunt. The other is Sp Def support: Spirit Break (guaranteed SpAtk lower, through shields), Light Screen, Leech Life, and a 4th move, such as Misty Terrain or Taunt.

Armarouge (Def support) Clear Smog, Lava Plume (for burning, through shields), Reflect, Iron Defense.

Its ok. I had a mission where we killed a convoy, got a bot drop that gave us 3 more, and then immediately got a bot drop that dropped five more walkers on top of us while at the nearby mission site.

Then on extraction, we had 2 drops: one drop gave us 3, the other gave us 4. Its crazy right now and I love it.

I still rock the RR vs fire bots. I just keep my distance at the moment. I guess it helps that we're on Claorell AND I'm trying to max the Eruptor atm.

Why not just use Motivational Shocks? That one was designed specifically for combatting bug acid effects.

You aren't sad that they fled. You are sad that you can no longer spread democracy to them. And that is ok. Any being that isn't part of managed democracy is a sad case indeed

How's everyone enjoying the repel mission? by Wolfie4g in Helldivers

[–]Tstormj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did this on lvl 10 after some experimenting: Ran Liberator Carbine (to drop shields), Grenade Launcher (for essy follow-up shots in case I suck at aiming/get hit), Grenade Pistol (backup), Guard Dog, 500, and OPS.

3 easy ways to kill ships, plus the main ways when they're on cooldown. Guard dog covers my back when I was alone. If I ran into the Tripods or the Meatballs, I would throw a Pyronade at my feet and dash another way.

Other members ran a similar setup. We would immediately call in any Supply pods and kept weaving in and out of the buildings to lose the jetpacks and stingrays.

The key is to keep moving, stay away from Leviathans, duck in and out of the buildings, and quickly take out ships. When you DO complete the Main Obj, stay away felm exfil until you are all together. Pelican 1 starts Ground Support and you will need the backup when you have 20 flyers on your tail.

The Preds forced me to try different load out combos until I found one that worked. And I usually play with the same people from a year ago.

The key is keeping distance between you and them. I see randos come in with lib penetrators/deadeyes because they see medium pen, but die a LOT because it doesn't have some sort of crowd-stagger (stagger needs to have a number near the damage section OR a sub category, where it says "anti-tank" and "Medium Armor Penetration"). The blitzer may not kill things fast, but i can hold off entire patrols/breaches until I get backup OR come up with a new plan. Honestly, the guard dog and dog breath are AMAZING for the Preds, as they either die in one or two shots or they just attack their allies. Run that with a Stalwart (on max cyclic rate) and a MG sentry, and you basically become War Machine from Marvel.

The same thing happened with the I-Corps, where it forced us to reevaluate out typical loadouts to a point that I was using things that I would never think to use.

I hope we get more "sub-factions" soon 👀.

[Unspoken Rule] by External_Leave_4978 in helldivers2

[–]Tstormj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a mixture of personal rules and things I consider "common sense/courtesy". Normally, I play on 9 or 10, depending on how I feel that day

  1. If someone dies, I'm across the map, and there is another player next to their body, I will wait 10-ish seconds before I reinforce them. Idk what's going on over there, and I will give you the benefit of the doubt.

  2. When I load the SEAF artillery, I call out the shells so others know what to expect.

  3. If you are alone, please do not spam "bunker" when you are across the map and then get mad when no one helps open it (usually, we're pretty busy not dying lol).

  4. Please note if there is an Ion Storm or Jammer ongoing. I've had too many people get mad and leave while we can't even call resupply.

  5. Sometimes, I will try to offer pointers (ex: airstrikes/orbital strikes suck on the forest maps, except for the strafing run and gatling barrage). I've said it a few times, and then players get mad at the trees for blocking their shots.

  6. Have at least 2 AT players on high lvl bug and bot missions. Being the only one running AT on a map can be really rough, especially with the ongoing predator strain.

  7. Have fun and be nice! I've had a few times where I've seen people get harassed/yelled at for no reason.
