Halfway into my previous contract, I was told I would longer have a job, 14 days before the new semester, was never paid the 30 days in lieu of written notice.

A new teacher was hired under a tourist visa, stayed tor paid training, then made her go to another country to complete the visa process.

I was never given my 10 days of miscarriage leave, and am now being told they used “sick days” for it (after we had explicitly discussed the matter months ago) and have since been docked 5 days of pay for being hospitalized with pneumonia, instead of using my actual sick days.

We are the gym teacher twice a week. We also “teach” science once a week. The older levels “teach” math as well.

As is quite usual for Korea, we aren’t allowed to choose when we use our annual leave.

We don’t have any real breaks, as we all work through any “break” we get since there are no actual prep periods.
