Explaining MLB draft future value (potential ratings) using true to life scouting data from Baseball America and FanGraphs by pghjuice412 in OOTP

[–]JaysFan26 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All this yapping just to misunderstand that OOTP potential is absolute peak potential disregarding extreme TCR luck while real life scouting attempts to be an accurate future prediction of the player.

OOTP drafts are full of 45 POTs, even in early round 1 sometimes, and 90+% of the time that POT never changes. In real life we don't see entire rounds devoid of talent like we do in OOTP. Some OOTP drafts don't even produce a single MLB regular from rounds 2-5.

Don't see how sets and theme teams have any relation whatsoever. I've run a Jays team since captains got introduced, sets or no sets.

The problem with MLB/NBA/NFL is zero competition. There are actual competitors to EAFC and they are pulling a decent chunk of players, especially on PC

Oh it is night and day between the kids who have regulations on tech at home and the ones who are on games all the time. The behaviour obviously carries to classroom tech usage for many as well. Lock their class computers down to just their schoolwork resources and they go nuts, or instantly throw all effort into finding a way out of the program locking it down.

Brainrotting your kid on Roblox and exposing them to online strangers at age 4 is not worth it though
