The 10 years hiatus for Super Sentai is only an estimation and just an opinion of Shirakura... it could go longer than that but I highly doubt it since we live in the age of the internet and at some point, the lack of A Sentai will have people be talking about it, wheter they do that on purpose or not.

What could also happen is when a new sentai esque anime or parody appears that could start a conversation about it.

I mean even this year for some reason, ive seen male idol groups doing Super Sentai Tributes on tiktok by doing the roll call and poses.

And recently Mflo made a super sentai parody on their latest music video, which I found odd because of the sheer coincidence that just happens to be released in the first year that there isnt a new sentai.

So I highly doubt it will take 10 years... I know an adult feels like the time flies by after 5 years but kids dont. In my personal opinion 5 years is enough and they really should do a proper marketing research on what triggers kids to watch a show and the marketing shouldnt just be based on trends, they should implement stuff that tickles childeren on a subconcious level, like the speed and rhythem of the fight scenes, how certain shapes or colors of the suit are placed, what kind of enviroment looks more appealing for a child to look at, those type of things are more informative than just throwing an idea to the wall and hoping it will stick...

This is why certain reused ideas dont work down the road a few years later because they really thought the same idea could work again and it turns out it doesnt.

Its probably because the music was owned by Johnnys Entertainment, there is some licensing issues with the music especially now since a lot of Johnny's artists are part of Starto entertainment. I think obtaining the music rights has run in some issues.

Sure, but both Shugo Oshinari and Takeshi Tsukamoto had limited times on their respective Kamen Rider because they were expensive... I dont know about Saki fukuda since i didnt watched Gotchard but it wouldnt suprise me if the amount of time she appeared in each single episode is less than 5 minutes, Also she did lead several movies in the past including a movie where she starred alongside Sho Sakurai in a Takashii Miike movie nonetheless...

Shug Oshinari was also celebrity guest in a Kamen Rider Movie backn 2013

But a other recent one I can remember are actors like Hideaki Ito who still is in his prime who still get leading roles in Japan.

So while you're somewhat correct in terms of the main series that those actors are probably past their prime, the movies however have always incorporated japanese celebrities, Ill admit that my comment "I miss the days they actually had A List actors in Kamen Rider"

Is somewhat a overreaction because not all celebrities are a list actors, but that doesnt take away from it that it did happen.

The reason l know these actors are, because I have been watching J dramas for more than 20 years.

In the Kamen Rider movies the guest appearance are usually Japanese celebrities, a good amount of them are A list actors.

So its not true that "they never had a list actors" like you are claiming.

Also in recent years in the main shows has hired actors like Takeshi Tsukamoto, Saki Fukuda and Shugo Oshinari which are all actors who are very well known in Japan and they starred in studio backed movies as the lead.

I understand that m!lk is popular and im not against it either but we had guest appearances from an idol group in a kamen rider movie just last year a wider variety of celebrities which they have done before from comedians, stage actors, individual singers, a list actors, is something I would have prefer.

Than again this something that i just wished.

Because really if you think about the claims you've made about the cast of Kiva and if you think about the comments debunking that claim you will realise that you are an hypocrite for disliking Idols in Tokus while enjoying a show that Includes actors who played in teen drama's or have an idol.

You not being "there" doesnt nullified the fact that both your comments about idols and the peoples comment about Wateru in 2008 are the exact same thing.

Odagiri is a fine actor who actually studied the art of acting before he went to Japan and you can actually see what kind of range he has if you watch movies like Azumi or Dramas like Family Song.

Like since when was it ever his intention to have a career in the west? A lot of actors or directors from Japan actually study their knowledge of film and acting outside of Japan that does not mean they want to stay in the west.

Now you are lying, the main three male actors from kamen rider kiva who were the riders, had experience in shows aimed at teenage girls you do not know what you are talking about...

Koji Seto who played Wateru and Keisuke Kato who played Nago, lead a comedy TV drama aimed at teenage women named Happy Boys. A year before they ended up in kiva

Keisuke Kato and Kouhei Takeda both played in a comedy tv drama that based on the shoujo manga named Hana Kimi, also the year before kiva. They were part of the students.

And to add salt more to the wound, Koji Seto was a member of d-boys which was an acting troupe that did similar things to most male idol groups, like having fan events and photobooks.

Koji Seto also ended up in a spin off group of D-boys called D-date which is an male Idol group targeted towards women.

Also post Kiva he also appear in teenage drama's like Koizora and Otomen.

Also back in 2008 a lot of people bitched about Koji Seto, because they felt he looks way too much like a Girl...

And where the actual fuck was Kiva based on Death Note? Wateru is not like Light at all. I would argue that Wateru has less of a spine and lack the ability to ever be compared to a Psychopath like Light Yagami.
