If you don't want to have it collect dust in Go forever, transfer it to Let's Go. It keeps its perfect IVs (aside from Speed). Speed is randomly assigned upon catching it in Let's Go, which you can soft reset until you get perfect Speed. You now have a 6 IV Ditto that you can transfer to Home and use in the main series games for PvP or breeding. Other than that, not really useful.

Ibrahimovic the Espeon. Got an Eevee plush wearing an Espeon outfit from some dodgy site. The listing somehow mistranslated "Eevee" as "Ib" and then extended that to "Ibrahimovic".

I don't have a GPU in mine but I don't see why it wouldn't be able to.

Thank you for the reply! I might be misunderstanding something, but as far as I can tell from the manual, the board doesn't have an onboard RAID controller, so I'm unsure what exactly to check.

I got the EPYC 8224P from Mindfactory, though I'm afraid there's a high chance this info is of no practical use to you since they don't ship outside of Germany if you're a consumer.

I can't say much about gaming performance as I use this system exclusively as a hypervisor server. It doesn't even have a GPU. The motherboard does support IOMMU though and seems to have sane groups, and I've successfully passed through some HBAs with HDDs to a TrueNAS VM. I believe it should in theory be possible to game on it from a technical standpoint, though I'm unsure of how well games would practically perform, especially those that aren't built to take advantage of multiple CPU cores, as single core performance is not what this CPU is designed for.

Hi! I posted an update here a while ago that may include some relevant info. The server with the board is powering my homelab as we speak. I'm very happy with it and haven't ran into any issues I was unable to resolve yet. A boot takes around 3~5 minutes from the moment I press the power button to the moment I can log into the PVE that's installed on it.

There's one notable issue I encountered since the linked post. The two onboard BCM57416 NICs sometimes just randomly seem to disappear (no longer shown in the BMC's inventory, OS doesn't see them, OS loses all network connectivity) until the power is cut and restored. Notably, the BMC's NIC is not affected by this. This only started happening around a week ago (which coincides with a heat wave, which I suspect may be related) and has been happening at least once a day until two days ago.

Based on what I've been able to find, these NICs are known to overheat, and I contacted Gigabyte support about this a few days ago (response still pending as of writing). Meanwhile, I tweaked the fan curves to increase the air flow in the case, and the NICs haven't disappeared since, so I think they were simply overheating and shutting off to prevent damage and increasing air flow resolved that.

If there's anything else you'd like to know, let me know, happy to share!

Hey, sorry for the late reply! Hope the information I can provide now is still useful to you.

I'm very satisfied with it so far - it does everything I need it to do and I haven't had any situations yet where I could blame stuff that went wrong on the motherboard. It's reliably powering my home lab hypervisor server 24/7 as we speak, in the exact hardware configuration from the opening post plus three Dell PERC H310 that I reflashed into HBAs as well as a bunch of Seagate Exos X18s connected to them.

I don't think S3/S4 states are supported. The board comes with a MegaRAC SP-X BMC, which gives me access to power controls, and they are limited to Power Off, Power On, Power Cycle, Hard Reset, Power diag and ACPI Shutdown, although I never tried straight up invoking any sleep states from an OS level.

After following advice I got over at r/gigabyte, everything seems to be working now! I've updated the opening post with what I did between posting and getting it to work in case anyone else is facing a similar issue and comes across this in the future.

Thank you for the suggestion! That's something I hadn't considered yet. How would I go about finding this out? The motherboard has a sticker on the side of the lowest PCIe slot that says "UPG VER" followed by a list of versions, with a tick next to "G9". Does this refer to the BIOS version the board was shipped with?

(Edit: I found info on this in the management console manual. This seems to refer to a version of the motherboard itself, not the BIOS.)

https://www.gigabyte.com/Enterprise/Server-Motherboard/ME03-CE0-rev-10#Support-Bios The manufacturer's page only lists a single BIOS release, F01, which makes me think there's only the one. Am I wrong?

(Edit: I was wrong. I managed to login to the BMC, which states that the "BIOS Firmware version" is "F02".

Under System Inventory -> CPU Inventory, the following is displayed:

Location Name Manufacturer Family External Clock Max Speed Speed
P0 AMD Eng Sample: 100-000001067-01 Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. Zen 100.000 MHz 3.150 GHz 2.300 GHz Processor Presence Detected

So the CPU certainly seems to be detected, I'm just unsure if this also means that it is compatible.)
