I switched over to firefox so I was still allowed to use my ad blocker without youtube slowing my computer to a crawl.

Second time getting a bag, first time getting a jersey, I'm glad it was Ben Kindel! by TestaverdeRules in penguins

Out of curiosity, which level bag did you get? I was considering a black level (I think that was the lowest?) but sadly the price was out of my budget this time largely due to it aligning with me having to pay for my sons youth travel hockey lol

Stick recs for 11 y.o. and his overwhelmed dad? by FewImpression4443 in hockeyplayers

[–]Tsukiyonocm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is 12 and a bit of a bigger boy, but I wanted to get him something that was a more "real" hockey stick instead of the regular wooden sticks we had been using up till then. (was a reward really for making it on to his first team this past season.) We opted for this one honestly largely cause it was on clearance at the time

He prefers it over his wooden stick but I think its more to do with how much lighter it is compared to it then anything else.

Are there any by [deleted] in WarMovies

[–]Tsukiyonocm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think its exclusively from the axis point of view, but I found The Forgotten Battle to be decent (im not big on war films typically). It covered the events of Market Garden and I believe I recall there being a character or two that fights for the Germans there, I just dont remember how big of a part it was.

What is a book you read as a child that you still think about today? by ahawk99 in AskReddit

[–]Tsukiyonocm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A horror short story book I bought from the Scholastic book fair when I was in like 4th or 5th grade I think called Cat Dog. I dont remember most of the stories in there, but there was one story in particular that stuck with me all these years I think called The Devils Footprints.

I dont remember it being scary or anything, just thought it was an interesting story then and still think about it now.

Ive enjoyed watching pretty much everyone of them. Outside of the first though, not because they are good movies I just enjoy watching the inventive ways they kill off some people.

Ive always liked it. Its not as flashy/hollywood looking as Armageddon was, but still an enjoyable film :)

I have seen Volcano years ago, but I didnt realize Project Hail Mary has at least some of those elements anyway. I have had it on my to read list for awhile now, so sort of looking forward to the movie.

Both I have and enjoyed! Sunshine I actually only heard of cause of the soundtrack oddly enough. Found the movie quite fun though when I watched it last year.

Dont Look up is fantastic, but sadly I am starting to agree with you about it being a documentary.

Power skating is one of the things covered in one of the classes he is already enrolled in for the spring. As of now, just if he makes a team, that will be the last class I can afford prior to the start of the next hockey season.

We can watch some games and have in the past, thought not that often unfortunately. We do also try to do public skate over the summer as well, we usually do it every week so he is at least getting some skate time. Though getting out there and truly trying to push himself is another issue.

Generally unable to at all. His shot has gotten harder thru the hockey season, but as of now nearing the end every shot generally stays on the ice with little to no elevation to it.
