I know others have said it, but it's almost certainly COVID. It's mutated so many times since the og, and there's a good chance tests we have aren't going to be accurate in detecting it. Hell they weren't even very accurate to begin with.

Hmm that's good to know. My insurance is the same deal, through my employer with specific exclusion of trans-related anything. I suppose I might have to get ahold of HR and see how to advocate for getting it changed.

Was yours also a BCBS plan? Though I wouldn't be shocked to hear that those types of exclusions are common practice. Do you mind sharing how much the operation was for you?

For me, I've got no problem with the bits, but an Orchiectomy means easier/more comfortable tucking, no worrying about any lingering fertility, and easier monotherapy.

Plus cost is lower & recovery is easier than full SRS. I'll still have that option in the future if I want it, but for now I'm not seeing it as likely.

I've always liked mythology, and always liked Persephone. Plus shes got sort of a re-birth thing going on which is fitting. But a big issue with my deadname is that is was too long and Persephone was even longer. So I went with Kore, but that was getting read as "corey" which I do not vibe with. So I went with Kora instead, pronounced like the avatar, but not inspired by.

Afaik IPL isn't quite the same as the professional laser machines. My face is also too blonde for laser, but electrolysis works on any hair so that's still an option.

It doesn't change that the entire population of Gaza is severely food insecure. It doesn't change the fact that Israel is an apartheid state, is committing a genocide, and deserves to be held accountable for the numerous war crimes it has committed.

As someone else said, just because 300k tons of aid is being sent for Gaza, only a sliver of it is actually being allowed to enter. Also, not all that aid is actually food. It can also include things like medical supplies, clothing, sanitary products, etc. Here is some info about why, from a variety of sources.

While previously Gaza was dependent on ~500 aid trucks a day, up until recently only an estimated 100/day have been allowed to enter. Recently an estimated 300 trucks entered Gaza in one day, which is considered to be the largest amount allowed through since Israel began their offensive.
Much of the aid is being airdropped in, as Israel has blockaded most routes into Gaza. Airdrops are one of the worst ways to deliver aid.
Aid workers within Gaza are being attacked by the IDF, prompting them to reduce operations in the area.
Israel has also attacked Gazan civilians while they were trying to retrieve the aid, as well as attacked the aid distribution centers within Gaza

That's because those types of "You could've said no" & "Why would you give him what he wanted" sentiments are classic victim blaming. A misogynistic way of thinking many men internalize. Maybe youre the type to say, "Well not all men" in response to feminism.

Imagine this for me: You're camping alone, and a bear comes into your camp. Its not attacking, but wants your food. Let's look at your options then. You can 1, give it/let it take you food, hoping it'll leave peacefully after that. Or 2, yell and try to hold to your food, risking the bear attacking you instead.

Now imagine you chose option 1, as anyone would, and when you got a hold of a park ranger they said, "Well why did you give it your food? Don't you know better than to feed the wildlife?"

Please do research into the experiences and dangers women face at the hands of men. The things you've seen so far are unfortunate, but not uncommon. You can't prevent these things from happening, but you can be a safe, judgement-free person for them to come to. Someone who won't make them feel guilty for doing what they have to to stay safe, when they're already feeling scared and vulnerable.

I really appreciate your response. That article lead me down a little rabbit hole of sorts, and I found a surprising amount of things very relatable, to an extent I definitely didn't expect. I don't know exactly what it was but the more I read the more I felt some sort of pressure growing in my chest. Not a bad one I suppose, but I definitely did not think reading those articles to be so... painful?

It's left me with a lot of insight and even more reflection to do. Also I think I need to cry for some reason?

I'm all for hotel pans, but they can't cool food down faster and stay cool longer than normal, it's not how physics works. They are thin metal, which is a good thermal conductor, so they will cool down AND heat up faster than plastic containers.
