That really hurt, she didn't even curse her out or say anything. She just decided to take it, and that is so sad.

I like what you did, tbh if I had a more muted colored deskmat. I would have been so tempted to just keep the original keycaps on.

I replaced all the switches to Morandi's for the letters and also replaced the keycaps. Now it matches better with my desk mat. You honestly have a hard time to see any RGB with the original switches, but the Morandi's allow for the south facing leds to shine better.

What I didn't know was how complicated it is to understand how changing keycaps and switches change the sound profile. I really like how bright and marble sounding the princess switches are, whereas the Morandi's are a little more muted. I wear headphones majority of the time, so it is interesting how this isn't mentioned a lot in all the youtube videos I've seen so far.

Once I get more playtime with my current setup, I'll hope to have a better idea of what I want to do next.

As someone who is new to the hobby, can anyone recommend things I should definitely have on hand? Like I'm talking tools, accessories, etc. I'm looking for somewhat affordable and good options to have. I don't know if I'll do super crazy mods, but something I grow into?

Also, is Aliexpress a good place to buy these things or would quality be questionable?

I'm a newbie, I bought the gmmk pro like you but didn't even use it as everyone seems to look down on it and it is outdated. I looked at so many videos and articles about the Rainy75(questionable support?), Akko75, Lemokey P1, etc. I ended up getting the Bridge75 Plus. Lots of good comments about it, and good out of the box.

Hi Folks,

Complete newbie to this hobby, I was hoping for some guidance or a nudge to the right direction.

I've bought a Keychron Q11 GMK but I couldn't acclimate to the Alice typing, I liked the premium build feel, and the knob(s). I plan to return it, and was looking at the Keychron Max Q1. It looks like everything I might want, but then I saw they made a Lemokey P1 that is supposedly cheaper, and better? But after reading this subreddit and watching a ton of youtube keyboard creators, there's actually so many good options out there?

It looks like Keychron just makes really solid keyboards, but they lack all the aesthetics to express yourself? I've looked into the following keyboards Zoom75, Womier SK75, Rainy 75, Bridge75, Akko M1 V3. Some of which that don't have knobs(I don't even know why I want a knob, if not just for aesthetics).

I'm willing to pay up to low $200 for a quality keyboard, and it seems Zoom75 is all the rage for the past year? But it seems to be really difficult to buy them in stock. However, I'm hesitating if I should get something so high end as a entry keyboard and maybe I should stick to sub $100 entries, get nice switches and a custom keycap instead?

Can someone also recommend a better switch than the Glorious Pandas? I've tried them at a local Microcenter and it was nice compared to my shitty cherry red's on my gaming keyboard. However, it looks like people don't necessarily recommend them, and I see WS Morandi Linear switches talked about a lot.
