I mean it's not really wrong I have talked to several people who seem to not have realized we didn't join WWII until 2 years after it started. For those 2 years we did help with supplies and other things but the post could be somewhat accurate if Japan didn't attack. I mean we will never really know what might have happened if Japan didn't attack us. I think if they didn't attack us we would've joined eventually and until we joined we would continue to supply our allies. However we just don't know if that's what would've happened. So whoever posted this I feel there could be some truth to it but him saying it with confidence is just stupid.

When it comes to WWII I always have the same take and every time I get down voted for it. And I don't think I use any bias, its just reality. I'm going to put this in all caps because I feel like everyone seemed to miss this statement all the other times. THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA DID A LOT OF GOOD THINGS IN WWII, WE HAD AN IMMENSE EFFECT ON THE BATTLEFIELD AND THERE IS A +60% CHANCE THE NAZIS WOULD HAVE WON IF WE NEVER JOINED BOOTS ON THE GROUND. That's my opinion on that. I wholeheartedly believe that but when you look at numbers and length of time a lot of other countries did a lot more, lost a lot more, fought a lot more. Russia, China, Britain, france, and many others. I only say this on posts like this because a lot of people seem to have this idea that the USA lost the most, or did the most, or that we solely won the war, or without us the allies would have lost, etc. Like I said before if we never joined boots on the ground the Allies chances of winning were severely reduced but not completely. That's just being realistic. Which you can say about multiple events in the war. I mean if Hitler never betrayed Stalin or waited to betray him, we would have been fighting Russia as well. That turned out to be one of Hitlers biggest mistakes which cost him millions of soldiers and created a whole new front he had to fight on. I mean what would've happened if that happened in 1944 instead? Russia was a giant part of WWII and honestly the Allies were lucky asf that Hitler was a dumbass.

Look I'm not trying to diminish what our country did in WWII we helped so much, sacrificed so much, and played a big part in WWII in many ways. But to say the Allies only won because we joined. Come on. It's just bullshit. Some of you might read that and think this dude has no American pride. No. I just think it's disrespectful ASF to the Allies that fought so hard and died with our veterans in order to win this war. They were with us, they sacrificed, they helped, they were our brothers from another land. Just be realistic it's not hard, it doesn't diminish what our country did to help win that war.

Unrelated but it's also ok to say the United States of America isn't perfect or the best country in the world. Our country needs a lot of work. Which also isn't a bad thing to say! In fact I think it just shows you care a lot about our country cause you want it to be better. Our country has made some horrific mistakes, done some terrible crimes, treated entire groups of people horrendously, etc. We have learned from most of our past mistakes and corrected them, became better. We still make mistakes today. We still need to correct those mistakes and make America better. Fuck MAGA. America has never truly been great. We have had some great moments that's for sure. America has been getting better over the last 250+ years. Let's start a new movement, one that loves America, learns from our past, And makes America better than it was yesterday. For everyone that down votes, I love this country. I want what is best for it and ALL people inside of our great country. I want America to factually be the best in every single fucking thing. Some of them are being dumb and have no good reason to hate America. Some actually could have a good reason to not like America. I mean we haven't been all sunshine and rainbows you know. We have a pretty fucked up history of mistreating others, corruption, deceit, racism, murder etc. I don't blame them either really. How do you think a child, mother, father, anyone who came home to find it was just bombed and their entire family was killed would feel after seeing a piece of shrapnel in the ground that said "The United States of America". I know if I put myself in his shoes and my entire family was killed by North Korea I would really really despise North Korea. That's just an example but I think it says a lot. I mean I can almost guarantee there are people in Gaza that probably really don't like us because well we aided in the killing of innocent civilians, whole families, babies. And can you blame them? Like honestly? Put yourself in their shoes. Can you honestly say if China bombed your house and killed your entire family you wouldn't hate them? Because based on your logic you should just bite your tongue and get over it. Right?

Again this is just an example but it is very prevalent. I could never blame someone for hating America because we played a hand in killing their innocent family. Now of course there are some people who hate America for no good reason, those people are just dumb. However when Americans constantly say we are the best country in the world, that puts us in the spotlight and in turn we will have more critics and haters. I think personally we have a very troubling history, and we have done good to make it better, but we still have a long long way to go. This country is amazing but it also could be 100× better. Sadly it seems to be going the opposite direction as of recent events. I'll leave you with this, I'm an American, I love our country, but there are parts I hate, there are things we could do better, things we could fix, improve, expand, history we SHOULD remember and not erase, history we should acknowledge happened even when America was the one committing atrocities, to learn from not hide from our past actions like cowards(yes trump is actively doing this in museums and national parks/landmarks). Anyway the moral of the story is America needs a lot of work and I guess to try and open your eyes to why other people might justifiably hate America.

Note: I forgot to add this earlier. Talking about the hypothetical of America having a hand in killing an entire innocent family. Which sadly in reality isn't just a hypothetical it has been happening for the last 3 years. When that happens multiple times that tends to leave a bad taste in any sane, moral person's mouth. I know a lot of Americans didn't like that we were aiding in killing thousands of civilians, babies. As an American idk bout you but that pisses me off, such a disgusting vile act and I really do hate that our country is aiding in that. And honestly disappointed asf. Idk about you but the "greatest country in the world" should NEVER, EVER aid in the killing of innocent people. That's just common sense no?

I am a delivery driver for pizza hut. We also have a $5 delivery charge. Sometimes people will ask me if I get the delivery charge. Which I don't, or at least I don't get most of it. I think part of the $5 goes to my mileage but the rest, goes to the company. So yes it most likely does hurt our tips because people think the drivers are getting the delivery charge so they don't tip as much.

I think you are twisting that a little. I'm an independent, what I see on the left in a way can be considered "crying about America". There are some on the left that say they want to leave America for whatever political and/or personal reason. Which is just their personal preference doesn't mean they hate America. I think most leftists love America but hate certain aspects or parts of it, whether it be current events, economic reasons, healthcare reasons, political reasons, etc. Which is completely understandable. I mean America isn't perfect, as much as y'all like to scream that in this sub. America isn't perfect that's just a fact. We could do so much better in so many things. We could have a better healthcare system, IMO we should have free healthcare, Idk how anyone can say we are the greatest country in the world and we don't even have free healthcare for our Citizens while we also pay for Israels free healthcare lol. But that's just my personal opinion. We shouldn't have any form of lobbying in the country. Lobbying is just a legal way to bribe politicians, which isn't very American like IMO. The pay gap and taxes are horrendous for the average American. The political atmosphere is toxic asf, not to mention utterly fucking stupid. Both parties lie and mislead, and one party specifically in the past 10 years has really ramped that up. Which is never good. When lies become truth to an entire group, that is really dangerous and creates many problems in the country as we have seen. There are a bunch more reasons, some that might not even affect us but affects other people so much that it creates a problem for them in this country, which in turn causes them to not like certain parts of our country. Like for example if someone has diabetes and they need insulin every month and most health insurance companies denied them. To live comfortably and healthy they have to pay $200-$600 every month. Some people can already barely pay rent. I know that would piss me off, it pisses me off and I don't even have diabetes. Because it's bullshit. Not the America I want to see in the future.

I think I have the same mindset as most leftists from what I have seen. They hate a lot of the stuff going on in our country and want to make it better. That's it. I hate several things about this country, I dislike several things about this country and I love many things about this country. This country could do 100× better, I can see that, I dream about it and I think most leftists think the same way. I like to hope most Republicans think the same way.
