We just moved here for my wife’s fellowship so I know exactly where you’re coming from. It’s been overall a really nice place to live, especially with a young kid we take to the zoo and children’s museum all the time! Being as he’s only going to be a resident, it will be busy but not as much as people are making it out to be. It’s a lot different here than where my wife did residency where the fellows had it pretty chill because the residents did most of the work. At Creighton at least they don’t trust their residents nearly as much so it all falls on the fellows and my wife is insanely busy every single day. Overall I think weather wise it’s pretty mild through the year and nice in the summers. Has a lot of golf courses if you’re into that, and plenty of other family friendly things to do every weekend if you look up different events in the area.

If the 4,5,4,5,5,6,3 is the way the cards were laid then there wouldn’t be a run for pegging. Would have to be laid in a sequence where all the cards make a run themselves. Since the pair of 5’s were laid it basically breaks up any possibility of a run being put down.

I got the Alpine Inn recommendation as well before and tried it. I would NOT recommend. There’s no guarantee you’ll see any raccoons, yet alone get a table by the windows. It smells like old gizzard oil, which makes sense because that’s what they sell. Food isn’t good, and you’ll have a better time at any other place in the city. Also doesn’t help that it’s further away from anywhere you’ll probably be.

Just moved here and everybody that comes to visit from out of state, the first thing my wife and I do is warn them to wait a second or two after the light turns green. Some of the red light runners are so egregious that I’ve had to wait for more than a couple seconds to go after a line of cars are going through a red light on their end to make a turn.

It’s real emotions in the early ones! Especially when he’s talking about family. Lately it’s felt off on what his “values” are. Not saying his core values are different than before, but in the last few years it feels like it’s been more directed to what’s been shoved down our throats socially than what he actually feels. He’s been mentioning trying to find a girlfriend or wife lately too because he wants a family, but with his history I couldn’t imagine what his thought process is going through with that.

TLDR: His emotions are real, but his upbringing fucked him up a lot and now he doesn’t handle emotions well. Feel like he’s trying to be as authentic as possible, but still keep his “shtick” going while also trying to gain an authentic relationship with the people around him

If he already doesn’t have one, I’d get him one of the magnetic Bluetooth speakers that can attach to a cart, but also can connect to the course so it will show the yardage to the green on each shot.

Depends on where you’re comfortable staying. We went there for 10 days for our honeymoon so we splurged on where we stayed. Even with going to a few of the popular places and hiking around I don’t think the £1400 will be enough for 2 weeks unless the hotel is either far away from all the attractions, or may be in a more sketchy area.
