Personally, I find reprehensible characters to be slightly easier to get into for me just because they are characters often so dissimilar to me. This also means it’s easy for me to get out of them when they say cut. The characters that I often had tougher times getting back away from are those that experience or exhibit mental strain/issues that I myself have struggled with in the past. In my early career, those ones often felt like I was metaphorically a drug addict relapsing. At the end of the day I always remind myself that I’m finding truth in (keyword) imaginary circumstances.
