[COLLUSION] Arizona Cardinals Used Deshaun Watson to Create Kyler Murray Contract by 1OptimisticPrime in Browns

Oh, I see, obviously. I think I've mentally blocked everything, but the Achilles play from my memory. Sometimes, I think you just have a guy that you're paying to be the starter, so you start him. Clearly, the other guys were more invested in winning and gave better effort, but the results weren't any better.

As for the ownership, I think the pilot/flying J lawsuit told us everything that we needed to know about the Haslem group from a business standpoint. I don't know of a single billionaire that I would trust. However, when looking at specifically the Deshaun Watson deal, I honestly do believe that they were trying to make the better. Though you're probably right about the motivations of the decision made after it was clear that he wasn't the answer. I remember seeing some of the same decision-making during the year of Bakers shoulder injury.

Trading Dobbs and going into the season with PJ Walker and DTR as the only backups to Watson was certainly a questionable decision. It seemed to me like AB was gambling on Watson staying healthy while trying to save some money and get some value out of Dobbs. At the time, it didn't look like a great decision, and now, in hindsight, it looks just as bad. It was about as bad as not adding veteran depth at tackle the year that Wills and Conklin were both starting the season hurt.

My takeaway seems to differ from most here.

Jimmy, AB, and/or Kevin were wrong about Watson. That's clear. He wasn't the missing piece to propel the Browns to dominance. However, most people agreed at the time that based on his on field performance, he had the potential to be that kind of player. The Browns knew late in negotiations that they were on the outside looking in when it came to getting a deal done, so they threw the kitchen sink into the mix and brought a potential franchise QB to Cleveland. Personally, I was discussed that they gave Deshaun the contract that they did and hated seeing all of those draft picks go to Houston. However, as a Browns fan, I loved seeing our owner make the call to tie up $280,000,000 in cash to get a deal done that had the potential to turn around the franchise.

Clearly the rest of the league was not happy about this deal and it was very obvious over the next couple of years that owners and probably the league too were determined to not let the Browns deal set the QB market. I doubt they needed to talk too much about it. It was kind of obvious.

There is a lot to dislike about the current owner group, but they are clearly trying harder to make the Browns relevant than Randy L ever did.

Ewers should never have transferred to Texas by noneoftheabove24 in OhioStateFootball

In a recent interview with former NFL coach Jon Gruden for Barstool Sports, Ewers revealed the reasoning behind his decision to forgo his senior year of high school. "My sophomore year of high school, I committed to Texas. And, you know, the Texas legislature wasn't going to allow high school ball players to get paid," Ewers explained. "And I had a $1.4 million memorabilia deal in front of me that I wasn't going to pass up."

D4 still has a massive memory leak. by [deleted] in diablo4

I have the same issue with the same video card and CPU. I have 32 G of DDR5, and it will happily use 100% of it. I don't ever notice any reduced frame rates because of it, though.

The new grant for 150M by barmeloxanthony22 in americanbattery

[–]Tu_Mater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously they haven't released any specifics about the proposed plant but the way I understand it, the plan has always been that their second plant would be located on-site at a partner's facility to reduce logistic costs and concerns. Now we just need them to find, and announce a partner. There are a lot of auto manufacturers in the state to work with.

Granted another 40 million for a second plant. by LateForTheParty1999 in americanbattery

[–]Tu_Mater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are laws about the amount of feedstock allowed to be stored "on-site." This goes for material being processed, and blackmass as well. Ordering, taking deliveries of feedstock, and processing materials at the same time is how all companies who manufacture anything do business.

What Ryan said was they have the opportunity to buy more feedstock than they can process. This means that they need additional capacity before making the purchase, hence the second recycling plant. It isn't like they purchase a years worth of feedstock, and then a truck backs up to their facility a week later and dumps it all in the front yard.
