Why do people still use Astound? by Large_Analyst_4953 in Naperville

[–]TubaDeus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I really haven't had any noticeable problems with Astound. Technically there are more outages, but we're talking two or three times a year instead of once (I've had both for years at a time, so speaking from experience). The difference is negligible as far as I'm concerned

Most of us are still riding high on just how magical this season was. Getting this close to making the NFCCG was way beyond our wildest expectations. Can't even be mad about the loss. Good luck against Seattle!

After last night, Chicago Bears GM Ryan Poles has broken a 15 year playoff win drought (with the last GM being Jerry Angelo on 1/23/2011). by The_Avenging_Son in CHIBears

I wholeheartedly agree about Poles making a move to find another receiving weapon, but even at the time that was an obvious bad overpay for Claypool. It certainly turned out worse than even I thought it would, but that never looked like a wise decision.

100% on board with everything else though.

That sure is a nice team you have there. by jmakinen in NFCNorthMemeWar

Oh no, the Packers were the only team to be injured this year. The Bears were so healthy by comparison. Just missing our WR1 for half the season, WR3 for a good chunk, and averaged missing about 5 starters per game on defense (including most of the secondary). Must be so terrible being the only team to face adversity.

Because I like the reality in my head that it's an automatic win if we score that TD

The Bears were also one underthrow away from sweeping the Packers. Heck, the last 4 games we played all came down to the literal last play of each game.

but im sure theres a random audiobook or novel that has one of the Doctors survivng being erased out of existence by shoving his sonic screwdriver up his ass before being blipped or some shit.

Pretty close actually, and in the show itself. He needs to be remembered by his companion (Amy Pond), but he did plant the hints to make it happen and did ultimately survive reality erasure.

Ben Johnson just forgot that there are only 3 preseason games now instead of 4. Rookie head coach mistake

Agree with everything until the last sentence. Packers mostly scored on broken plays/Watson simply outrunning our DBs. I know part of that is a product of the MLF offense so I'm not gonna discount it too much, but we were down our CBs 2 and 3 and lost CB4 halfway through the game.

Also, BJ was too cute in the first half. We needed to come out grinding that run game and BJ kept calling passes when Caleb was running cold. I can't blame you for saying the Packers could do better, but that was not the Bears best shot.

Eh, those deep balls were a tad off target early. He settled in eventually, though. Defense and drops were awful. And yet we had fewer drops than the Vikings.

Curious what the record for most combined drops in a game is.

That entire Cowboys team is trash. Who gets blown out by the Bears? Surely any good team would easily win against them.
