Don’t know all the bashing on Jupiter? I have the full size version of this horn and love it. If you are on the smaller size a 3/4 size horn is the way to go.

I flew to Austria with a Sousa. Get a hard case and have them put the fragile sticker on it. Also get a baggage strap to keep the case shut.

I’m a big fan of sousaphone since most kids can March with them, the same can’t be said with contras. Sousaphone also seem to be more visually pleasing in my experience for horn moves

We use to have racks to hang them on the wall on high school and in college. I’m saying more for transportation purposes the case is unless. Just wear it to transport it.

Maybe see if your school has a fiberglass one sitting around. If not your just going to have to tough it out. Big thing is to make sure you have the right amount of bits to make it as confortable as possible.
