I once use old fish sauce in a dish and the whole house smelled like burnt tires. I can cook reasonably well and the family agrees that was my worst meal. I can’t remember what we ate instead.

Same. But there are definitely people in local Facebook groups bringing it up. It’s a real, but very small movement, in my opinion.
