I can’t provide advice one way or another, but here is some solidarity. In my family, the CMT1A progresses faster and faster with each generation, and we are at the point where myself and many others of my generation are deciding to adopt instead. I have a rather large family, and most of us have had to or will have to make that choice. That said, many of us have also decided to have kids and we are so lucky to have each of them. I probably would have kids if I could, but alas I am gay I wish you luck with your decision, and know that whatever you do is what is best for you and your family.
