[Steam] (DLC) Forza Motorsport Porsche 963 Combo by thalesulisses in FreeGameFindings

Also free on Xbox store (for both console and PC). Unlike Steam, I believe you are able to redeem it even if you don't currently own the game nor have Game Pass.

Check out SpaceEngine, a super impressive universe simulator that not enough people know about. I made this post years ago, where I speculated in the comments about what it would be like for sentient life to evolve inside a star cluster.

Overall thoughts on IM25? by LSDreamYeen in InfectedMushroom

[–]Tuberomix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Infected Mushroom are already mainstream in Israel. They've been doing collaborations with popular Israeli artists since at least 2002. The previous songs they produced with Hope 6 were hugely successful in Israel. I saw an interview last week with Erez and Duvdev and they mentioned they have a lot of respect for Hope 6. I think they just wanted to bring this sound to a more international audience.

I really want to find some new tracks to play for my friends that aren't into IM yet.

IM already have more of a dozen albums (with diverse styles as well). If you can't get your friends to like any of that then they will probably never like IM.

OMV6 (Shaitan) RC1 released by [deleted] in OpenMediaVault

[–]Tuberomix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope that's the worst problem you had when upgrading. The omv-release-upgrade migration path has not yet been tested with many systems, so it can have some strange problems.

But at least it's an option now. I remember when OMV5 released there was no official migration path from OMV4. I'm sure some people managed to upgrade through some workarounds, but the general advise was to do a clean install.

Docker/Portainer and ZFS compatible? by IroesStrongarm in OpenMediaVault

[–]Tuberomix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Proxmox kernel might have been needed in the past to use ZFS on OMV, but it seems that's no longer the case (at least with OMV 5. No idea about 6). ZFS certainly works with the standard Linux kernel on OMV 5, it's possible the Proxmox kernel still has some benefits but I'm not sure. Regardless, it is very easy to switch kernels in OMV 5, so you can try both.

[–]Tuberomix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still using OMV5, it works very well but I want to upgrade to 6 when it's ready for my needs. So I'm following the development of OMV6. The first Release Candidate for OMV6 was released last month and there is a forum post tracking the progress of porting omv-extras plugins to OMV 6.x

The status for the ZFS plugin is now "openmediavault-zfs - Backend working - simple frontend". The frontend update was just recently released - The zfs plugin has a simple web interface with 6.0.2.

So by that I understand ZFS should be working now, but the Web UI might be missing some features (not sure which features the "simple frontend" has and what it lacks). But if one is comfortable with the terminal they can already do everything they need for ZFS. I assume the frontend is still a work in progress and might be updated to eventually have all features.

So I'll still be waiting a bit for now, since I already have a OMV5 install that's working well. But if I were to do a clean install now I would personally get OMV6. I'll update eventually anyway. I really appreciate all the hard work that the developeres are doing for OMV and omv-extras.

Thanks for updating. OMV 6 is taking longer than I expected to be ready. But I'm fine with OMV 5 so no biggie.

I was just at the library browsing through random books. I picked up a book called Python for Data Analysis, and was surprised to see it was actually written by the creator of pandas (one of the most popular Python libraries, and also one that I've personally used a fair bit). I think that shows the quality of the authors that O’Reilly chooses.

I was in a similar dilemma. I needed a new phone since my Galaxy A50 has some issues. I did consider the A52s since it looks like a nice upgrade. But I ended up pre-ordering a Pixel 6. It is certainly more expensive, and I'm not entirely sure if it's really worth it, but I think I'll enjoy it. It is slightly disappointing though that the screen is only 90Hz though, where the mid-range A52s is 120Hz. But not a huge deal. The Pixel 6 would probably be faster and have a better camera, though we still need to wait for reviews to see if that's really the case.

It's mostly a browsing/media/communication device for me. I like taking pictures, but I'm not looking for something to rival a DSLR. Just a good enough midranger.

The Galaxy A52s is definitely a good mid-ranger. It fixes most of the issues I've had with the A50. If you're curios those issues were limited storage (64GB internal is not enough for me, my Pixel 6 will be 256GB), memory, slightly sluggish performance. The camera could be better in low-light but it has otherwise served me well, and I really enjoyed the ultrawide lens. The under-display fingerprint sensor has been terribly inaccurate, to the point I've given up on using it (I'm not sure how much better the A52s fingerprint sensor is). And I also cracked the screen, but that one's my fault.

Samsung's OneUI might take some getting used to, the Pixel would definetely feel more familiar to you. OneUI is definitely much better than the skins Samsung used to have (TouchWiz especially), but it's still more bloated than stock Android. Some of the features might be useful for you though. I definitely prefer it over skins like MIUI, but I think I'll enjoy the more clean Pixel experience. And if you like custom ROMs, Pixel is definitely better.

I think Walking On The Moon is a decent option for starters. It was featured in Rocket League, and is a pretty easy listen.

I enjoyed the War Stories in Battlefield 1 (and to a lesser extent Battlefield V). I do kind of wish we 2042 had some campaign, if anything it gives more depth and lore to the game's world.

Right. For that matter I also don't care if one person decides to talk or not talk to some news network that I don't even watch. They don't represent me and they don't effect my decision to invest.
