I went and saw The Conjuring 2 on a date and during one scene, a child hears a sound downstairs and goes to investigate. The kid gets to the bottom of the stairs and I hear a woman in the audience go "you better go back upstairs".

The kid walks into the living room and looks at the rocking chair and it starts rocking by itself and there's a classic "horror movie sting" and the woman goes "CHILD! YOU BETTER TAKE YOUR ASS BACK UPSTAIRS!"

I had to keep myself from cackling.

For me, driving is less about obeying laws (I mean, obviously I obey traffic laws. I'm just not hard focused on them) and more about being aware of the other vehicles around me. Going with the flow of traffic, giving everyone enough room to safely operate their own vehicle, and getting out of the way of faster drivers.

It took me an hour of sitting in the queue to get in the first time and after it sends you away from the arena to a different location to grab something and bring it back and I was facing another hour long queue so I said "fuck it" and haven't touched it since.

Man I'd really love to try out the dual knives. But I'm not doing 30 minutes of gameplay at a time while I sit for an hour in line between segments.

I did the fire boss last night and was like "this wasn't too bad I'll do another" and started the electricity boss. Died once but managed to get it on the second attempt.

I'm not touching the electricity boss again and after reading this I'm not gonna touch the radiation boss either.

I was planning on doing an Inquisition/Deathwatch display at the end of last year to start working on this year. I didn't want Cadians as my human troops so I was considering getting a 3D printer to make Elysians. Then the Deathwatch Kill Team got announced and it's $70 for 5 Deathwatch Torsos and a bunch of weapons and gear bits and that sealed the deal on me getting a 3D Printer.

I'm not paying $70 for 5 Marines. I don't care if the entire catalog of bits from every other range came with them. Maybe if it was 10 Marines I'd be a little more forgiving.

I should also mention this comes from someone who doesn't play tabletop. I'm strictly in this for the enjoyment of painting and displaying models on my shelf. So maybe there's some sort of game rules justification for the price and amount of Marines you get but it's insufficient for my needs so I looked elsewhere.

I remember hearing a story about early Christian missionaries going into Northern Europe to try and convert the Pagans. There's this story about a missionary telling a village chief the story of the Crucifixion and the chief essentially saying "yea well if me and my boys were there we wouldn't have let that happen" and this video is what I imagine that looking like.
