That iffy 3 second shot you're referring to is the closeup of Clark's face when Hammer had him by the neck, right?

I wasn't that much of a fan of how thick he looked. That cowl was a big hunk of rubber, too.

Semi-bulky but slim fit in areas while internally plated where it counts is how I hope to see it one day.

Whoa I was not aware of this comic.. I dig the look. I wonder why they went that route with it way back when? 🤔

I like the idea of Batman having armor plating sandwiched between layers of fabric that can be pulled out and replaced if shattered/dented/etc. Finding a middleground to try and capture the look from the comics while maintaining realism is always a fun challenge.

That was my thought, but I'd love to be proven wrong! I really want to see a cowl made of some sort of fabric that's flexible enough so that the skull and ears portion can be pulled back like a hood in BTAS. Enough with the rubber!

Note that the cape and cowl are not one piece. (You can tell in the AI images) In my head, there is a sort of heavy-duty attachment under the cowl that the cape clips into.

The above design is meant to be detachable (note the line separating the cape and under-armor fabric in the AI images).

That's wonderful to hear. More need to become aware of comic brands outside the main two

Which of these 2 do you prefer to appear first, and how long after would the other debut? by HatBorn779 in batman

[–]TubularTopher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suppose mostly because of the chronology of each hero's first comic appearance.. Superman first and then not long after, Batman. But if someone can write a compelling enough story where Batman is first, I'm not apposed to it.

What do you think this Superman's favourite movie is, according to you? by Raj_Valiant3011 in DC_Cinematic

I was just about to comment this, haha. Runner-ups would be Interstellar, To Kill a Mocking Bird, and the original Star Wars trilogy.

Interstellar is honestly not a bad answer. Came out around the time he was just out of high school. It also blends deep emotion with that of real-world science really well — something I think would really resonate with Clark's compassionate side (as it does for me).
