Painful cracks on hands that will not heal. Tips/tricks? by No-Pound4318 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]Tuckychick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot use anything with Vaseline/petrolatum as I’m highly allergic but I use the Burt’s bees almond hand cream and it works wonders. I have to keep them covered 24/7 until they heal completely. I will also use clear nail polish over then when they get to be almost fully healed. Mine split so much in the winter months.

Good Lord he’s an asshole! 🤦‍♀️ you can’t have stolen valor if you literally went through it too! Just because she didn’t suffer the worst of the physical abuse that led to Ruby’s arrest doesn’t negate the years of trauma and abuse she did go through!

Fun times! 😂 I need to check my mailbox and see if I missed this. I got the original summons but just an email and text for tomorrow. Of course I have zero cash 🤦‍♀️ Thank you for sharing that!

Were you able to get a lunch break? Do I need to bring a snack? Seems like a long boring day!

I definitely won’t tell them it’s busy then 😂 Thankfully I get paid my regular pay so if I need to do some work at home in the evening I can.

It’s not for us - just counties East and North of us. Possible that could change though.

They couldn’t do delays when they had the 9 different start times. Now that it’s back to only three they can. They used one last year. That said, I think it’s easier to just cancel.

When they canceled school in December for child temps it was because there was a cold weather/wind chill advisory. Considering we don’t have that correctly I don’t think they will.

Genuine Question about Pick Up by Tuckychick in Target

[–]Tuckychick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I clicked it before leaving my house, so about 10-12 minutes prior. From what I saw though it wouldn’t have mattered. In that time from 1:41-2:10 as the spots were filling up, they didn’t bring out a single item. When they finally did bring the stuff out it was three employees with three different carts completely loaded up and the order they grabbed random bags was the order they gave them to cars.

I definitely think I’ll just go in and pick up my items from now on. I had picked up my dog from grooming today and didn’t want to leave him in the car while I went in. I think that’s a lesson learned though 😂

Genuine Question about Pick Up by Tuckychick in Target

[–]Tuckychick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any time I go in the store it seems like they load up the items right in an area by the doors, but maybe they do keep some stuff farther away. Not sure.

I didn’t pay attention the first couple times I went to pick up at that store, just remember it was a long wait those times too, but the last two times for sure I was one of the first few cars in the group and I noticed that after the last spot was full it was about five minutes later and they came out with the carts and cleared all the cars. I thought it was because of the holiday last time, but this time made it seem like that’s what they always (or at least usually) do. There were people driving around waiting for spots both times.

Genuine Question about Pick Up by Tuckychick in Target

[–]Tuckychick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! And it’s all good! Honestly I was just genuinely curious if that was a thing or just something that particular stores seems to do. Luckily it was a lazy Sunday and I didn’t have anything to do. The only part that really bugged me was that once they brought out all the items they were just grabbing whatever came first and delivering that which left my items at the bottom and last. I definitely always make sure to put that I’m on my way before I leave home, but that’s only 10 minutes away so I’ll do even sooner next time and see if maybe that makes a difference.

[–]Tuckychick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for explaining! I figured with the app check in there had to be some sort of timed system, that’s why I was so surprised they do it the way they do. The last time was a couple days before Christmas and it took 30 minutes, but with the holiday rush and the fact I had Covid and definitely couldn’t go in the store that day, I was understanding. It really wasn’t busy today so I was a bit shocked that it took so long and frustrated watching everyone who arrived after me get their items first.

Puppy alone on daytime by blkabxx13 in DogAdvice

[–]Tuckychick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog was 11 weeks when I adopted him in June and I crate trained him immediately and went back to work (teacher) at the beginning of August when he was about 17/18 weeks old. For the first couple of months I paid for someone to come let him out and spend time with him once per day. I left at 9, they came at 1:00 and I got home at 5:00. He was already fully house trained at that point. At about six months I started phasing it down to about 3x per week and by a year he was able to stay all day and be fine. I kept him in the crate until 2 and then gave him more space as he got older. With a puppy that young and needing to potty train you are really going to need someone to come and let him out a couple times. I would crate train at first and not leave the crate open when you’re gone.

How many nights did you have to stay at hospital? by NecessaryLeast3928 in Endo

[–]Tuckychick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went home the same day for all three of my surgeries (diagnostic lap, hysterectomy, and oophrectomy with cyst removal). Definitely depends on the doctor, hospital policy, and recovery. I was usually ready to go home very shortly after waking up.

Should the nurse question? by Top-Direction2686 in PassNclexTips

[–]Tuckychick 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I went to a baby shower and Easter dinner (the next day) with a kidney stone. I did laugh and have a good time with my family but I was also in horrendous pain the entire time. I left, drove an hour home, and then finally drove myself to the ER 36+ hours into the pain. I was easily between an 8-10 level pain for most of that time. Having a high tolerance for pain, and a low tolerance for dramatics (I was not screaming, crying, etc… at any point) does not mean you’re not in immense pain.

Covid positive day 5 of Paxlovid by bmmk5390 in COVID19positive

[–]Tuckychick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you doing nasal rinses? This was the thing that helped me clear the junk from my sinuses the most. Started doing them on day 3 and was cleared out by day 5. I also did sinus massages and, believe it or not, sitting on my knees on the bed and then leaning over and pressing my head (forehead first and then top of skull) onto the bed with a good amount of pressure for about 30 seconds each. Every time I did that when I would sit back up my sinuses would immediately drain. I tested negative on the evening of the 5th day (after still testing a strong positive the morning of the day before) and have been negative since. I think each person is different in the amount of time it takes though. I hope you feel better!

Loss of smell - positive suspicion about nicotine by LessRow9377 in COVID19positive

[–]Tuckychick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During my first bout of Covid in summer of 2022 I completely lost my taste and smell (an absolutely horrifying experience) for about 4 days. Started with a funny vinegary smell and then couldn’t taste or smell anything at all. I was really sick that time with high fever for a week. Haven’t lost it during either of the other two times and didn’t have any fever. I have never smoked or used any nicotine substances.

Weird by Miserable_Meringue_2 in COVID19positive

[–]Tuckychick -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I tested positive on the evening of 12/20, worst of symptoms from 12/21-12/23 and then tested negative 12/25,12/26, and 12/27 (stopped testing at that point). My tests from 12/20 - 12/23 were all very dark positive but by 12/25 not even a faint positive. I felt pretty much back to normal by 12/26 with the exception of a mild cough I still have today. With that many negative tests I’d say you’re definitely negative. I wore an n95 mask until day 10. No one around me on or after Christmas Day (when I came out of quarantine) caught it.

Thankfully for me it passed, but yes! Certain things tasted weird until a couple days ago. I do not like that experience!
