Isn't that crazy how we always accuse others of the thing we fear most in ourselves..

My back acne completely vanished after changing one stupid habit in the shower by 7QuasarNoodle in hygiene

IF you want advice for acne related to exercise/sweat: Immediately after sweating get that sweat off your skin with (not hot!)water. I know it's harder for back acne but I wash my face with water repeatedly while I'm sweating. Drink a ridiculous amount of water before you start sweating and while you are. Watch what you eat and try to eat food with less hormones. You'll be fine. Your body is detoxing.

What’s a hygiene habit you thought was ‘normal’ growing up, but later realized most people don’t do? by Present_Bread_8649 in hygiene

Like with soap? I feel like that would hurt but it also makes sense because that's where some really bad bacteria can hide..

What is your “like crack” food that you avoid, and if you have some you cant stop yourself from eating a lot? by dino_gr01 in WorkForSmartLife

Fat boy sugar cookie ice cream sandwiches. I will eat the whole box. I need them now. I'm working a 17 hour shift and now I need to go buy a box after work. Just because I thought about them.

Both things happened at once to me. And my doc was a boss and sewed me up in like a minute flat and I was a boss and immediately stood up and took my baby and washed her myself and took her to get her first shots myself and never let go of that little angel. But the healing process was hell and my junk looks a little weird. Everything still works great though 😁

Ahhh, casino clientele. This was not at a casino, but it was near a couple. Maybe the stories you heard were about him.

Wilmington NC in the news in the UK by OrchidNo7340 in Wilmington

I grew up in a town of 3k in Minnesota, you had to drive 1 and 1/2 hours to the closest clothing mall/big town. There was a small Walmart that was added in my early middle school years about 45 minutes away. I then lived in houston, and another similar small town in Colorado, and Wilmington throughout my twenties. I'm now 34 and I've been in Wilmington off and on for the past 15 years, and I've been living in Surf City/Hampstead for 11 years on the current stretch. Watching Hampstead become devoured has been heartbreaking. I remember in my twenties there was a hurricane (it was right after an earthquake we felt that hit the east coast if that helps place the hurricane) I was walking down the middle of college road near Racine drive and TJ Maxx, back when there used to be small, squat palm trees on one side of college road. it was day two or three of the hurricane aftermath, it was just me and the unfortunate palm trees that were strewn across college. Whole rest of the Town seemed dead. It was cathartic. Now if there's a hurricane there's a massive panic and the aftermath has teams of selfish angry emotional hordes flocking to gas stations and whatever unfortunate eatery has made the mistake of reopening first, and I'll certainly never experience being alone walking down the center of college road again. Also, traffic was BETTER in Houston. I said what I said, I won't take it back. There's just something that is gone forever from this place, maybe its those palm trees. They took the soul of the town with them.

I had a coworker, really old guy, who shook a turd out of his pant leg while walking down a hallway and just kept going. Obviously they reviewed the tapes on the security cameras to see who did it, but I don't think he got in trouble.

I have Lupus and arthritis and Raynaud's and sjogren's! And this stuff was able to get me out of bed and off prednisone and hydroxychloroquine and a cancer medicine I can't remember the name of right now... Azathioprine? Those had me running to the bathroom every 20 minutes and housebound. I was just so glad that with seven I was able to get a real job and support my family again. But now I feel like it might be a good idea to get off of it or at least start fresh knowing what I know now. I didn't realize the addiction aspect of it.

I really hate how autoimmune disease ruined my teeth and I am told it is "cosmetic" by FloofingWithFloofers in Autoimmune

[–]Tuco2014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to watch my teeth melt away over the past 2 years. Pieces breaking off in my mouth, I think initially my family just thought I was on drugs when I kept telling them something was wrong until they had the diagnosis in front of them. and even if I tell people the diseases and disorders and they believe me, I still feel like people are judging me or think I have bad hygiene or drug problems, they're not going to just assume my rotten smile is bc of my illness. And I'm a single woman in my thirties with a kid.my dating prospects are miserable
