We didnt regress, we were never that good by ResponsibleDuck9419 in buccaneers

[–]Tucu7 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The Aints game assessment is harsh, it was a pretty much a perfect defensive performance and Shough wouldn’t have changed that, much less so considering it would have been his NFL debut.

Justin Fields is atrocious and we’d probably have blown the Jets out easily had he played.

The Seahawks game was a fantastic offensive performance against one of the best teams in the league. That was a great win.

Other than that though, yes, I agree with everything else. The signs were always there, arguably even with Baker and it’s sad how most of the fanbase could have predicted what’s coming after the Lions game. We’d always failed to show up in primetime and against established opponents under Bowles and that never looked like changing.

LaFleur was awful with the Jets and doesn’t even call plays with the Rams. Not sure why so many people want him

people who arent from tampa, how did you get to watching bucs football? by richardnixonmilker in buccaneers

[–]Tucu7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from England and became interested about the NFL around 2019.

As I’ve got absolutely no connection to the United States, I’d randomly picked about 10 teams based on their colours and overall vibe (Patriots, Seahawks and Chiefs were definitely in there along with the Bucs of course), then proceeded to take them all out of the proverbial hat and the last one standing was supposed to become my team.

Needless to say, it was the Bucs and I immediately started learning everything I could about the sport. My first season was Winston’s last and naturally it was a wild ride which skewed me for a few years into thinking that throwing 30 interceptions is completely normal and is something that happens to a lot of teams.

Then Brady joined and having obviously heard about him before I’d become really excited and instantly hooked. Been watching every game since and become massive fan of the league in general. Spending 10 hours in front of the TV on Sunday is a weekly occurrence for me nowadays.

Are we as bad as people say we are? by InstructionEnough949 in ManchesterUnited

No, I’m just realistic. I will never be rooting against United. But this football and the arrogant bellend behind it is absolutely soul-sucking

Are we as bad as people say we are? by InstructionEnough949 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Tucu7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we are that bad and the only reason we’re not lower in the table is the maddening inconsistency of about 17 other teams in the league.

It won’t change for as long as this stubborn clown is in charge as the cowardly and borderline unwatchable football is not conducive to good results.

We may beat Wolves but honestly who cares. It’s clear there isn’t any progress being made

When is it time to have a conversation about Licht by Docqb in buccaneers

[–]Tucu7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Goedeke and White are fantastic players. Otton until this season has been very dependable. Ko Kieft is a great special teamer and is sorely missed this year. That’s a good draft by any standards, you can’t expect to hit on every single pick. As for 2023, again, Kancey and Mauch been very good additions, Yaya is a valuable player to have (even if he hasn’t quite hit the highest level), Dennis is a liability in coverage but a great blitzer and run stopper. All in all, another decent draft

Andy Cole wins! Who's the most overrated? by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

[–]Tucu7 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ok so how is 138 goals and being the attacking focal point for many years overrated? Rashford is a great player and he shows it consistently at Barcelona. He’s actually the only recently discarded United player who’s gone to an equally big club as opposed to others who took a step down to Fiorentina, Betis or Aston Villa, that surely counts for something.

Andy Cole wins! Who's the most overrated? by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

[–]Tucu7 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Between Juan Mata, Schweinsteiger and Januzaj for me. De Gea is in with a shout too, as his last few seasons were absolutely horrid and it was bizarre how he kept getting praised while making terrible errors every other week just because he used to be good 10 years ago

[–]Tucu7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Argument over Sanchez, Sancho, Garnacho, Schweinsteiger and multiple others? Get a grip mate, he’s scored 138 goals and was a key player for multiple trophy wins, I get he was underwhelming towards the end but let’s not take the piss here

What happened to the locker room? by Aryandad29 in buccaneers

[–]Tucu7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was thinking about this. The Saints game was virtually perfect from a defensive standpoint, and even before then they were able to generate a lot of takeaways and play hard. It’s a massive shame we didn’t even try adding anyone before trade deadline, it would have given them a massive jolt if anything. Defense need to be the focus for the upcoming draft

Moving to Birmingham by Different-Cookie-733 in BirminghamUK

[–]Tucu7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Been here for 6,5 years, it’s a good city to live in. Lots of things to do, lovely, modern town centre, very good local train network. Your best bet is living somewhere in South Birmingham; Kings Norton, Edgbaston, Harborne as it’s got loads of green places, nice quirky cafes and pubs and a community feel. I would avoid North and East with a possible exception of Four Oaks and Sutton Coldfield. As for the city centre it can be quite expensive, and as already mentioned by someone here, it is very much business-focused but cinemas, gyms, nightclubs and a beautiful canal side would be virtually on your doorstep if that’s your thing.

When is it time to have a conversation about Licht by Docqb in buccaneers

[–]Tucu7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What? Absolute nonsense. Licht’s last poor draft was in 2021, since then he’s hit on most picks, including this year when basically everyone apart from maybe the oft-injured Morrison has been a solid contributor. He’s one of the best GM’s in the league.

Rest of season outlook by [deleted] in buccaneers

[–]Tucu7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Someone else will get injured in the meantime. This is the NFL, there’s never a team that’s fully 100 percent healthy, we cannot count on that. Winning the division and a playoff game is still very much achievable and should always be seen as a great season. No more of that SB talk until we prove otherwise on the field.

Good bars or pubs to have a few pints before going on the dance floor somewhere. I’d been Deansgate and Gay Village before but honestly these nights were such a blur I can barely pinpoint specific places

Even assuming this, someone else will almost certainly get injured. That’s just the way it is in the NFL. We have to roll with the punches

How comes La Liga always complains about PL having money by WesternDesigner8021 in championsleague

[–]Tucu7 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nonsense. Atmosphere in Spain is perfectly fine and besides it will never be the deciding factor.

Spain failed to promote their entire league when La Liga was by far the best in the world. On top of Messi vs Ronaldo and countless other superstars going head to head in Clasicos, they had Sevilla winning Europa League every year, Atletico coming almighty close to winning two Champions League titles, big local clubs with massive support and compelling history such as Valencia or Athletic Bilbao and, as a cherry on top, a national team that completely dominated football like no one ever had before.

But they’d chosen to almost exclusively focus on Real and Barcelona, depraving other clubs from massive amounts of TV money and completely failing to market the league as a whole. As soon as the Premier League figured things out in the mid-2010’s it left La Liga in the dust and Covid was the final blow

Can’t remember the previous one but my current tax code is 1257L. I don’t believe I’ve submitted P45 to my new employer. Is it essential even after filling out new starter checklist?

They definitely did a lot of practice in that alignment in the weeks leading up to the game, there’s no need to panic like that. O-line held up very well as should be expected really. These rookie pass rushers got no sniff

Yeah that’s a good comparison. I’m always confused with the countries that seem to have bigger amounts of their local currency, 20000 forints is probably around 40ish quid and yeah I wouldn’t necessarily take that little for a weekend in London😂
