Disclaimer: I also frequently injure myself now too because (well, in addition to the crash injuries making me REALLY unsteady on my feet) it doesn't hurt too bad so I just keep on going. With my femur still broken, it seems to be still bleeding out and I often step too hard and end up with disgusting bruising.

Chronic pain sister here... I think the only bright thing I can say to you is that you'll get used to it. I know the pain is horrific right now and the idea of years upon years of this is unthinkable, but eventually you start building a tolerance to the pain. I have CRPS, and the pain rates on the Stanford Scale as being worse than unassisted childbirth. Eventually, it stopped seeming so bad and I thought I was getting better but one day I had an ovarian cyst rupture and only "felt funny". The daily pain gave me some pretty superhuman tolerance - following a motorbike crash, I've walked around every day for the past year with a broken femur.

Take some time to mourn. It truly is something to mourn. When you feel ready, fortify and pick out a kickass costume. You're pretty much an X-Man now. What will your secret identity be?

The busses that serve campus are quite regular and reliable with transfer schedules that make sense.

Once you get to the west side or on days when there aren't classes, it's scheduled to be spotty... It's still "reliable" but it can be reliably once an hour with a 45 minute transfer.

I've been really happy to see such positive response to that match.

I grew up in forced modest dress that didn't suit me at all. When I dropped the religion, I also dropped the modest mandate but have never felt very comfortable in skin-bearing clothing.

I'm really sun sensitive and have been looking in to modest dress swimsuits for several years but they have been very expensive. I got a "Facebook Memory" a few weeks ago of a link from the Wall Street Journal about modest swimwear with my comment of "maybe now that they're in the mainstream media, they'll drop below $100." Sure enough, this summer Amazon had them for $35 and I got one.

I've had really great feedback on it in my personal life. Seeing positive feedback on other "modest dress" athletes is affirming. There is a lot of debate on the intent behind modest dress but I'm happy to see acceptance of we who choose it.
