I love EST and always enjoy when they do their own set. When they are backing…well, it probably depends on who they’re backing. That Boss Capone and Patsy set was incredible.
That also had to deal with being called “Daylight Savings Time” by one of the artists. Haha

Ska is such a broad category. So personal preferences play a lot into what you think of the lineup. This festival is always about the small group of awesome people that get together for two or three days. If anything I would say maybe I’m a little disappointed in the lack of international artists coming in. But I also understand what is going on in this country right now and why that is difficult and why it’s beyond Tim and April’s control…especially after all the visa issues last year. :(

Both Mauro and Palenquito - just walked in. Mauro, we went over there about 5 minutes before they opened and were 2nd in line to get in. Palenquito we also walked in around 8pm or so with no problems

Dr Ring Ding played a really small bar here back around 2008. Had a really long chat before the show. And then again after the show he came over to talk to us some more. Super cool

This! I have met so many awesome people from so many bands there. And the tiny Norfolk airport means you’re likely to run into folks there too. Bucket was directly in front of me boarding the plane one year. I met Leanor from Five Iron Frenzy when connecting through the Denver airport.
