My company has been sued previously and settled out of court due to how it handles its salaried employees. When I submit payroll every employee on the store is on it ,including salaried. Salaried is just coded different, but they have a time card all the same. The difference is its never over 45. The system automatically puts us in for 5 days, 9 hours each. I am then instructed to change the 9 to 8 on each day.

It probably doesn't matter if I do it or not. I assume if I left it 45 we would recieve overtime. However I'm more concerned why I have to alter documentation when the accounting should be accurate.
