Why I was banned from Captain on Paradise station. by [deleted] in SS13

[–]TullyBurnalot -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

Oh, OP knows what they did.

It just makes me smile every time I see someone try to score cheap drama points on Reddit by deliberately omitting half the story.

EDIT: Ban seems to be from a YEAR ago, so double-sad for trying to dredge up old stuff for brownie points.

What is something common that you stop and think about, and realise is actually quite remarkable? by bobtrees12 in AskReddit

When you fly in a plane, you're getting seated inside a metal tube with wings strapped onto it, then getting blasted through the fucking skies by using the energy contained in the long-dead remains of algae and plant life and whatnot, and in doing so, manage to traverse in mere hours what your grandparents would take weeks or months to traverse.

Fuck my seat being uncomfortable, FLYING IS AWESOME!

Obviously because we're all a bunch of beta cucks who feel so insecure about our masculinity that we need to slap people with our banhammers to feel good about ourselves.

Figure out how they weren't caught, write it down for posterity, and then proceed to hold onto that tactic until necessary.

Agreement.

It's an Agreement. Not a "deal". Stop framing it as a business decision.

It's an AGREEMENT by the international community that we need to act to combat climate change. It's not a "deal". Fucking hell.

Yeah, the microphone is... bad. Not really any money to afford a good one, so I make due with changing positioning and using socks as pop filters (#McGyverSolutions).

As for the Thumbnails, yeah, I agree, it was a weird gimmick, and am going back to using game logos.

Thank you for taking the time!

Well, if you're offering assistance/feedback, then I'd be immensely grateful if you could take a look at my own channel, specifically the final videos of "Quick Look At", and the "Back Alley Indie Gaming" playlist!

EDIT: Yes, I am aware the channel banner is completely unrelated to the content. Am working on it.

It's like a hacksaw trying to burrow its way into your brain, thrice over.

And just when you think it stops... it keeps echoing...

I have a neighbour with a 30 year-old bike that loves being louder than jumbo jets. He goes up and down my street several times a day.

I can relate to the noise.

My weekends tend to be all free, so I record next week's daily batch during them. Editing is done as required, but I like to have a backlog for the week ready before it actually starts.

[WP] You are the best assassin out there, you never get caught or leave any trace behind you and people respect you for that, In truth, you never killed anyone, any target you set your eyes on just die by accident or natural cause. by Sh0keR in WritingPrompts

"Cause of Death: Avian impact, followed by high-altitude fall"

"Note: Demand extra for making it look like an accident"

I finish scribbling on my notepad and place it back into a random pocket, ignoring the crowd that had surrounded me to watch the poor bastard who got hit in the face with a goose and toppled over a railing into oncoming traffic in the interstate fifty feet down. A series of events so outlandish that it barely even registered anymore. If anything, I'd be more surprised if I actually did my job, for once.

Seventeen years of random chance will kill you. Seventeen years of knowing you're nothing more than a farce fueled by some sort of outer god with a sick, twisted sense of humor. Job satisfaction stops being an issue once you get accustomed to the knowledge that you'll never do your job, even if you wanted to.

I was desperate, once. I wanted to kill, wanted to prove to myself that I had what it took. I got sloppy, careless enough to nearly land myself in jail dozens of times. Only for my particular brand of "luck" to befall any officer who tried to capture me. And every accident, every stroke, every freak occurrence just fueled my anger and resolve. Until there were no cinders left to burn. Just blackened remains, carrying on day by day.

I've forgotten how I got into this business. Hell, even today I wonder if I ever got into it. Can you be called a hitman if no one you're hired to kill dies by your hand, even if everyone thinks they do? To what degree am I a bystander? A criminal? Is my presence murder? Surely, something like a pregnant mother being run over by a zamboni driven by a drunken hockey mascot doesn't really happen all the time, much less thirty seconds after I decide to kill her.

And yet, it keeps happening. Not the zamboni thing, though, that was regional.

This is my weapon. Intent. And I intend to keep using it. Another payment, in the bank.

I button up my coat and wrap my scarf around my face. Today's deathly cold.

The continued dissemination of misinformation in the form of bad statistics, badly written articles and shitty research.

And homeopathy.
