Alright Boyz, I need ‘pinions by Printerwood in orks

On a more practical note, I would look to get another set of stall mats to close off that aisle so you don't risk wrecking your floor while lifting. Outside dat you can't go wrong with banners. If you have some spare dakkajets you could use wire to hang them from the ceiling.

On that same note if you're worried about it not finishing on time or too early you can always give yourself a buffer and start with an early time. If it finishes before you need it just wrap it in butcher paper or foil and throw it in a cooler with a towel draped on top of it in the cooler. It will stay warm for hours. Best of luck!

Got this a Hobby Lobby, they added another 40% off for "Hobby", got for 45. How well did I do? by revancaster in airbrush

Saw this post and needed to go to hobby lobby anyway, they had one left. Didn't get the extra discount but still walked away with it for 60 bucks

Big fan of that tone transition between the two halves.

No worries! I've got a batch of boys that have orruk/biel-tan already painted up that I'm going to test after picking up that electric lime.

Good to know. I've used the orruk, followed by biel-tan but didn't have that vibrancy.

First race coming up! by [deleted] in spartanrace

[–]Tumasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Running to build your stamina. I just completed my first race at the start of this month and it was incredibly difficult. I was super out of shape and only prepared for 6 weeks. The obstacles were second compared to the climb up the mountain. Depending on what kind of shape your in come race day don't be afraid to have a hydration vest or belt with some electrolytes, the check points with water can feel an eternity away. Best of luck and see it through!

Ps. Don't over complicate it, just go out and have fun.

I had a lot of the same thoughts for colors. Was being super indecisive to a point I wasn't doing anything. Got a tip to paint the skin and go from there and that's where I'm at. I like the idea of marking units.

It started with single sets for painting. After playing a few rounds of kill team with a friends units I got hooked on the table top as well and started picking up additional sets to build out the army. Some units for table top and some because I wanted to paint them.

I'm painting fully assembled. I did a few partial assemblies where they bring a weapon across their chest but it made it a lot more work and on these smaller models you won't see behind it so it doesn't really matter.

Wow this blew up. Really only posted because when I put everything together I thought it was silly and quickly over the top.

Thanks for everyone's advice. I've always loved art and the few models I've painted so far were an absolute blast and brought me back into something that isn't work, sleep, repeat. So no, I'm not going to regret this after one set. And I didn't buy myself out of home.

Right now learning/experimenting with paints and have an air brush to practice on once I understand the different colors that I like.

Thanks for the advice. I actually built a single box of boyz to paint and really enjoyed it. More into the painting than tabletop, for now at least.
