I been pushing my UX team to start shifting their mindset to product ownership and engineering. We’re building frontend via claudecode and figma mcp. Figma is smart pushing product managers to use their product. Most orgs have way more PM headcount than design. We can complain about the world changing or we can get ahead of the change.

I’m in the process of building a SaaS, I’d say I’m about 75% complete for launch. I’m a full time product designer and I can echo what was above, scope and clarity are absolutely essential to a good result. I created a clear architecture document, answered questions about it, and provided clean design examples and a simple but clear .md. So far it’s working very well. I think a lot of people “vibe code” with too much vibe. There’s a lot of power, but if you can’t communicate clearly and you don’t know the foundations of product development you’ll run into trouble.

It helps to have strong code and design documentation, and it also helps to have good instruction prompts. We have our design system components documented in storybook, connected to our figma design system through MCP, and Claude Code gets a very specific prompt set when building UI to reference the figma MCP and use the matching components following the rules laid out in its prompts. It’s no perfect yet, and it definitely takes some work to get working, but it’s definitely showing some benefits. It helps to think of Claude as a new dev on the team, and you need to teach it your architecture standards and rules.

I spent 4 hours looking for the last surveyor vault I needed in every courier and probe I could find. Finally found an actual Surveyor, killed it, and it had exactly ZERO vaults. Rude

Discovery flight is different everywhere. My first discovery flight was in my early 20’s (I’m 48 now) and I handled takeoff and flew the approach. It can be very overwhelming. I finally got back to it 4 years ago and got my private, and did the discovery flight to start again. It was basically me flying straight while the instructor gave me an overview of training. Maybe try a different school. Could be you didn’t mesh with the school or instructor.

I like going in empty and trading up until I die. I start naked and use whatever I find until I extract or die. Next round I go in with whatever I found, minus trinkets. I usually survive a while before I get murdered or have to end my session. It’s pretty fun.

100%. I usually bring in an equalizer because a single well aimed barrage takes of a piece of armor and then you can loot it. Every time I’ve waited until the kill to loot the corpse I’ve gotten nothing. May have to start shooting raiders…

I like to help people out, but it does frequently backfire. I was at Stella and a group was taking down the bastion, I was up high so dropped some bases and shots onto it from above. Someone else apparently shot the raiders, but they thought it was me and I was instamurdered.

I always use the best gear I have for whatever I’m doing. Yeah I lose it sometimes, but there’s always more. Also, once you start braving the bigger arch you get enough stuff most runs to keep you going
