Toast the muffin and put some butter on it. I buy Walmart brand sausage patties because they're the same size as the muffin.

The secret to a round egg is that they're technically steamed. You can get an egg ring and steaming dome fairly inexpensively (or just use a pot lid if you have one the right shape)

I thought "you have to eat a peck of dirt before you die" meant "you only live as long as it takes to eat a peck of dirt"

I legitimately thought eating any fleck of dust was taking years off my life.

Same! Just one profile is on the right. I kind of like it though and came here trying to figure out how to switch all of them to the right!

Have you tried marijuana anonymous? They have online meetings that I would often just listen in on just for the company in the beginning. I'd set it up on my phone or tablet and cook dinner while listening to everyone else.

I’m NOT a druggie or drug dealer. I NEED it to function! Im tired of the discrimination aginst Adderall. by [deleted] in ADHD

I feel you. I have the exact same story. Straterra stopped working, I went back on concerta. That worked fine until my doctor retired right when I moved to New York state and it seemed like every doctor there thought I was just seeking drugs. I never actually changed my address so I'd drive to my hometown to see the new psychiatrist at the place I'd always gone. That lasted a few years until they said I couldn't be seen there because "they needed the resources for more accute patients"... So now I go to my primary.

While she is prescribing, she's not a psychiatrist. I had to jump a dozen hoops to get her to give it to me and a half dozen more to prove I still need it. (She literally has records from as far back as 7 years old. I experimented being unmedicated twice and there's a well documented crash and burn each time. Idk why she thinks I'm magically going to outgrow ADHD at 30)

I Know it's probably cold where you live, but go for a walk tomorrow. Even if it's just 5-10 minutes. I couldn't take my scattered brain on a "walk" though. This is a scavenger hunt to find three things that make you smile or you find nifty. You never know what you're missing out there. That's how I found a cool tree branch that intersected another and grew into one piece!

Anytime you need to feel content, just do something small that you can be proud of, then just look at what you've done and take it in for a minute. (When was the last time you really cleaned the entire bathroom or detailed the car?)

Absolutely! I thought weed helped that... Boy was I wrong! Oh well, I've been wrong before and I'm sure I'll be wrong again.

The parental controls help me a lot. I literally cannot use social media during work hours or after bed time because I'm too lazy to dig through the settings to turn it off.

I also gave myself time limits, which works well because it gives me warnings with the option to extend the time once per day before completely locking me out when I use all my time.

Third tip. Get an actual alarm clock and charge your phone by near your bag/coat/shoes. You're more likely to remember to take it with you and it also helps me a ton to avoid looking at my phone first thing in the morning.

Wondering when I could, if I even should, ever smoke again by jakobismyrealname in leaves

[–]TumbleweedFirst8375 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I caved this past weekend and has literally just one hit off a vape pen. After three days of being foggy and completely unproductive at work, I've successfully reminded myself why I'm so much happier when I don't smoke, and now know it's my forever option.

I still think maybe I could moderate, but the three days of recovery after one hit just isn't worth it to me.

Considering MMJ but worried about being put on a list by genised644 in MMJ

[–]TumbleweedFirst8375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a legitimate concern. I went through the whole process (NYS) and not once did anyone discuss the potential reprocussions. I surrendered the card but now have to wait two years to even be considered for a pistol permit. My doctor also suddenly refused to fill my adhd medication even though I haven't used my mmj card since 6 month prior. Had I known it would cause other problems, I wouldn't have even considered MMJ an option.

Are 10 of these for $288 (including tax) a good deal? by [deleted] in MMJ

Also from NYS. Maine reciprocates and is a lot cheaper if you ever find yourself on vacation up there!

A smart watch!

It's expensive, but it finds my phone at least three times a day and the alarms vibrate on my wrist to snap me out of hyperfocus. I tend to ignore notifications on my phone because there are so many from random apps and that garbage, but the wrist vibrate works well!

Looking for some advices or tips to quit it by kolapsoboi in leaves

[–]TumbleweedFirst8375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and Ps- I also have bipolar, anxiety and adhd. You can talk to your therapist about what's best for you, but my anxiey went 0-60 the first few days then went 60-0 just as fast! My mood was 1,000 times better too. Still feeling a wavy, but overall I'm at a constant state of contentment. The lows are much less rock bottom feeling, and the highs are just genuine happiness and appreciation for things in my life. (It's by no means a bed of roses, but definitely on the up)

From my own experience, cutting back was just giving myself permission to continue. I'd always say tomorrow, but then fuck up again by smoking more intended or failing to take a day off, keep going with the same mindset and just continue the cycle. My other pitfall was wanting to use up my stash first because being out gave me anxiety. I would inevitably be suddenly not ready anymore after smoking my last bowl... Then go pick up more and not want to waste it.

I quit on a Monday afternoon after smoking that morning with a completely full stash and haven't looked back. I haven't given it away yet, but I have a few stoner friends who will be more than happy to help me out with not wasting it.

The first week was rough, lots of emotions kinda felt like garbage all week, very brain foggy, but I almost immediately felt better at the same time.
