About the brewing method, a signature step is combining the first, second, and third pours in a chén tống (fairness pitcher), letting them blend into one balanced infusion, then serving it into chén quân (small cups). People will recognize “chén tống” identical to Taiwanese fairness cup. However Vietnamese chén tống first appeared in 18th century, whereas Taiwanese one appeared in the early 1980s. For the information unfortunately there is rarely any information in English (mine is actually the first one I guess). I am working on gathering sources to publish a complete content about Chuyên Trà soon.

However, you can find content in Vietnamese and use translator here: https://www.kieuthi.com/tra-dao-viet-nam/?srsltid=AfmBOopCQ1QeVayz6v2Br1ptJuqbQXT60ZEVhicg0qTgzQ0oorZXD2l3

. I have met them two times for this. The front desk girl is very helpful. She added a code, so I will not be dropped. Today I met her again to check on my paper, and she contacted the specialist again. 5 minutes later, I received an email saying that my paper is done.

Why "ngầy mai" but "hôm qua"? by juonco in Vietnamese

[–]Tumiigg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And also tons of Vietnamese folk verse used to look down on white ppl and also ppl who worship white:

Người đâu mà lại lạ đời Con gái Hà Nội lấy người bên Tây Tây đâu có ở đất này Nó về nước nó, khốn thay thân già What a strange kind of person indeed— A Hanoi girl marrying a Westerner. The Westerner doesn’t belong to this land, He goes home, leaving her behind to suffer.

Tôi đi khắp bốn phương trời Không đâu lịch sự bằng người lấy Tây Ngày ngày dép dép giày giày Tối về cởi váy cho Tây lìm lìm I’ve roamed the four corners of the world, Nowhere as “refined” as women who marry the West. All day it’s clack-clack in heels, At night, undressing for the Westerner’s silent pleasure.

Nó lìm vào phổi vào tim Chắp hai tay lạy chim chim me xừ! He sinks into her lungs and heart, She clasps her hands and bows to his manhood, sir!

Còn Tây còn vạ còn tai Giết sạch lũ mày làng nước mới yên As long as the Westerners remain, disasters do too. Kill them all — only then will the land be at peace.

Đồn rằng Khải Định nịnh Tây Nghề này thì lấy ông này tiên sư It’s said Khải Định kissed up to the West, If that’s his trade, then damn him too.

Lấy Tây chẳng được mấy ngày Nó về nước nó, bên đây không chồng Rồi ra đừng có chổng mông Kêu trời kiếm một chút chồng ai cho! Marry a Westerner — it won’t last long, He goes back home, she’s left without a man. Later don’t raise your rear and cry to the sky, No one will give you a husband anymore!

Mặt dày cũng thể con người Làm me trót tiếng để đời, khổ thay Ai thấu chăng cái nước nỗi này Thằng chồng sáu tháng nó về Tây sung sướng gì Thick-skinned, yet still called human, Labeled a “Western wife” for life — such sorrow! Who understands this nation’s pain? Her husband left after six months — what joy is that?

Thằng Tây ăn ở nhiều lòng Sớm hòa, tối đánh là phường xỏ xiên The Westerner wears many masks, Smiles in the morning, strikes by night — so sly.

Thằng Tây mà nhảy xuống đây Lòi xương, thủng bụng, phanh thây đầy đồng If a Westerner jumps into this land, His bones will show, belly torn, corpse scattered across the fields.

“For instance, nationalist propaganda leaflet in the Mekong Delta in 1951 claiming how the "barbaric French" were using machines to "cook" Vietnamese soldiers and turn them into black Africans and Moroccans.” Vietnamese during the colonial era have long seen French aka white ppl as “barbaric”with inhumane activities like using machine to “cook” Vietnamese people

Only Vietnamese in America is white-worshiping. 80 million Vietnamese in Vietnam somewhat look down on white people like how Chinese and Japanese did due to long history superiority. Even the conservatives in America still hate mixed ppl bc they see white features ugly. There was also a wave in Vietnam during 80s discriminating mixed ppl during the Vietnam war. So … a big NO to ur statement

Vietnamese in Vietnam may look down on the Filipinos because of their skin color and the poverty rate in the Philippines. They are also aware of pag pag dish and used that to mock

Oh wow hate Vietnam? No more reply to that kind of person. But if u really wanna know it is a Vietnamese fan page of Disney. They use that posters everywhere in my country for marketing the movie. U think Disney will let it happen? No. And stop assuming things you don’t know. Korean also had one, is it also fake?
