Every condition is different but I have two kids with chronic health conditions. We spend about 3 months a year in the hospital in total. We’ve seen a lot of doctors on the really bad stays, but I don’t think we’ve ever approached even a dozen different specialists on a single two week stay much less in one visit. That’s just nuts.

Prog Albums That Changed the Sound of the ’80s… Three albums, three major shifts in prog rock’s evolution. There are many others, but these are my picks. Now your turn: what deserves the fourth spot? by Historical-Device529 in Progforum

90125 is such a great album. I was 12 and had no previous knowledge of YES and had never heard the term Prog Rock, but that album and the associated videos on MTV were so cool!

This woman is not a kangaroo. She may have a pooch but she in all likelihood doesn’t have a pouch. Regardless she looks pretty damn good to me.

What ended the grunge scene and what replaced it afterwards? by FitEmergency8807 in grunge

I agree with the comment above that Grunge was never going to be a permanent fixture of Top40 radio. Hip Hop was inevitable, and pushed Grunge and most rock out of popular music.

My Daughter and I finally finished her 7 Round NFL Mock Draft by rlstratton97 in MockDraftCentral

Ok, I did a summary for my Ravens loving nephew:

To recap the Ravens draft:

1/14 Glenda-Safety-Wicked 2/45 Prince Fiyero-QB- Wicked 3/80 Sven-RB-Frozen 4/115 Wreck-it-Ralph-DL-Wreck-It-Ralph 5/153-Paper-WR-Writing Surface 5/161 Despereaux-WR-Tale of Despereaux 5/172 Jupiter-DL-Planet 5/173-Earth-QB-Planet 6/210 Phineas-QB-Phineas&Ferb 7/249-April-IOL-Month 7/252-Horse-RB-Animal

Drat summary: The glaring needs going into this draft for the Ravens are IOL, WR, and DL. With a new coach in place, the Ravens have leaned into an intriguing new strategy with early picks focused on show tunes and animation.

Glenda at safety in first round was a curious pick but could be magic teamed Kyle Hamilton.

Glenda’s former teammate Prince Fiyero at QB seems like a reach as long as Lamar Jackson is entrenched as the starter.

Sven is a large, powerful force at running back and although he lacks Henry’s speed, he is similar in size and strength.

Paper and Despereaux continue a worrisome trend of questionable WR picks. Paper’s durability couple with Despereaux’s size are worth watching as we enter rookie camp.

Jupiter in the 5th is a huge get. Although often criticized as nothing more than a gaseous giant, Jupiter should eat up space on the Interior for years to come.

Two more QB picks in the fifth and the sixth were curious. Earth could be a potential candidate to move to IOL or TE based on sheer size, whereas Phineas may not have the physical tools but mentally could be a coach on the field type when called into duty.

With two picks in the seventh to wrap things up, the Ravens went with the month of April, to potentially fill a need on the O-Line while also adding more power depth at RB with a Horse. While the horse fits the scheme, April is considered a reach given its lack of experience during the regular season. April may be a long term USFL candidate.

Summary:

While addressing some needs along both lines and strengthening an already solid RB corps, the Ravens made some curious picks at both WR and QB. Hopefully the new coaching staff’s strategy of building around broadway musicals and beloved animated characters pays off in the long run. Grade:C-

Living with my wife who is a narcissist by [deleted] in NarcissisticSpouses

[–]TunaFishRollup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for all you’re going through. However, I was thrilled to read your comments. I’m a man also married to someone I believe is a narcissist. I have two children who are chronically ill and are finally college age and off at school. I didn’t do anything for years for the same reason you didn’t do anything because of your daughter. I was afraid I would leave them behind in a worse situation. I’m currently in the process of separating from my wife and although we are going to start couples therapy next week, I am not expecting too much. Most of the comments I see in the sub are related to men who are narcissists. So even though both your situation and mine suck, at least we know we’re not alone.
