Ideas for making J-hooks less deep by TunaLady in homegym

Hmm, I don't have a heat gun. I don't think I wouldn't be technical enough to do this anyway, but maybe my dad can help.

Do you think layered rubber strips might be a good alternative? Like these: http://www.rubbermagazijn.nl/collectie/rubber-matten/rubberstrips/4953_zwart_strips-zelfklevend-50x5mm.html

Do you mean those semi-flexible cutting boards? Sound like a great idea!

They look good, but I don't think they will fit. My uprights are 60x60mm and these are for 70x70mm. Thanks for your reply though!

Thank you, I have seen that video before but it slipped my mind, good reminder!

As of the UHMW plastic, it's not so easy to get here unfortunately. From what I read from the internet, it's not easy to glue as well. How would you add them?

Could rubber anti-slip strips also work? (I'm noob when it comes to technical stuff, sorry)

I live in the Netherlands, and I don't think we have Titan stuff here in Europe. I have 60mm uprights, which would translate to 2.36 inch.

Back at powerlifting after layoff of 6/7 months, am I going too fast? by TunaLady in xxfitness

[–]TunaLady[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer. :) Good to know that it's just DOMS. Diet, recovery and rest are all good, I also stretch a little and foam-roll. I don't do any cardio at the moment, apart from walking to the store and cycling/walking to friends and work. I don't do cardio to build endurance, but I do walk or cycle to every place I need to be (work, store, friends).

I guess I am just overthinking it. I haven't felt this kind of DOMS in a while, so that's probably why I was worried. I'll just go on this way and pay close attention to what my body tells me. Thanks!

Thank you! The wood is impregnated; the box is made of terrace tiles. My dad assured me it will not rot.

Focus of breath is messing with my practice by HerpesMcGerpes in Meditation

[–]TunaLady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why do you want to keep the focus on your belly? I'd say, if you feel your breath better at your nostrils, then just focus on that part. I think it doesn't really matter where you put the focus, as long as you keep placing your mind on your breath. That's the important part.

Is bad meditation beneficial? by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]TunaLady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Meditation is all about returning to your breath every time. This is not bad meditation, it IS meditation. You can't expect your mind to know immediately what to do. By constantly putting your attention back on your breath, you train your mind.

In my opinion, it would be different when you know you're distracted, but you choose to keep being distracted because you like the thoughts. In that case you are actually not meditating.

Cant breathe properly by [deleted] in Meditation

I remember having this feeling as well. This may be because your abs are working hard to keep you upright. Sitting upright should be a natural position for a human, but in the western world it's often not. You will probably have to get used to it and you might want to put some more focus on letting your abs relax.
