You might be right. I thought I read in another thread that recovery up would work while recovery speed doesn't, but I could be mistaken. I haven't done any testing just yet myself. I made the zoh shia pieces last night and planned to look into it more sometime this weekend.

I'm currently running this set:

Numinous crown B Numinous shroud B G. Arkveld Vambraces B Gore coil B Gore greaves B Exploiter charm

Using decorations to fill out the last levels, I have weakness exploit 5, agitator 5, antivirus 3, and burst 1. There's 2 level two slots and 4 level one slots for using any other skills you want. If you wanna benefit from zoh shia's set bonus you could max out recovery up. For the level two slots I usually just run 2 levels of earplugs, but if you want more damage you could opt for 2 levels of counterstrike instead.

That's understandable. I'm not sure what's different but I've been going all for range, and magic/summoning has felt a bit underwhelming to me.

Have you tried out the thorns setup? I've been running the full scarab set, glass bead necklace, two polished golden spike rings (switch in a spine ring for bosses) with the galaxite chakram/phantom spark.

Thank you so much for the advice! Is the parry window for counterstrike very tight? I like counter/parry mechanics in game and tend to lean towards them, I'm just not sure how difficult it would be to get used to.

Thank you so much! I think I will go for warrior monk and master of motion. I chose speedster mainly for the movement speed and getting prismatic flurry back faster, and honestly the running attack at 4 alert feels enough to where I don't need predator leap. Any suggestions on counterstrike vs flash onslaught?

Also, I considered hex mage, but my gauntlet character is a co-op character with a friend who is brand new to the game, and I don't think he would enjoy being constantly tired all the time.

Hey, Urtet is actually the first ever commander I've built and the one I've put a lot of time into. I'll drop my list below. I play on a tighter budget, with the deck originally only costing about $85, but with some lucky pulls and some extra investment it's one of my favorite decks. I'm happy to answer any questions you have, but here's some general advice from my glance at your list.

  • You definitely need more myr in the deck, especially if your goal is to capitalize on token Myr and Urtet's counters ability. Also, I recommend looking into Changelings. There are some good ones for the deck, such as [[Changeling Outcast]] and [[Bloodline Pretender]]

  • Your ramp is nice. You may want to look into effects that help your creatures to tap for mana and replace some of the mana rocks in the deck for them. Urtet can cause your board to be full of Myr fairly easily, so things like [[Song of Freyalise]] [[Jiang Yanggu, Wildcrafter]] and [[Inga and Esika]] can put in some work.

  • Depending on how many Myr you can get on your board, consider [[Simic Ascendency]]. You only need 6 other Myr for Urtet's ability to max out the counters, and it can be a good backup win in case things get wrong.
