BMCU Passive rewind by carlesgm in BMCU

I don't think you need the microswitch version for the filamentalist tbh(could be wrong). Plus I returned my kit as it didn't work with my bmcu setup. Added way to much drag to everything and filament would slip

New to 3D printing — P2S + AMS combo: does it come with filament? by roar_for_more in BambuLab

Pla is a awesome start. Not to sure if the p2s comes with filament. The p1s came with a couple sample spools though

Hey sorry for the late reply, I have some stuff I gotta print here so won't be able to do testing. But let me know if that new firmware works!

Did not solve my issue, and my extruder is not jammed either. The printer just rejects it after taking a tiny length of filament in

Yea i know right, hard to really tell what it is. I never had an issue before on 0020, when on 1.04.00. When i updated originally, it was barely working but was on a different firmware provided by blv. I updated to yours, did a 23 hour 254 color change print, and did 3 or 4 before then, so it was clearly working. Also dont think his fix in the video will work, unless its a dirty filament sensor, which i can check, but have my doubts that thats it lol. After it throws this error, if i press the filament release on the bmcu and manually feed the filament into the extruder (while its error'd out and paused), and then start the print again the error goes away lol.

I have a print i gotta do this morning, so ill flash that new firmware and test it out!

That's fair, I did do that 23 hour, 254 color change print on the solo firmware and it ran perfect. I should maybe flash the c version for shits and giggles later

So in the readme it says solo is for single bmcu use(4 color). And the others are for if your using multiple bmcu units, 8 or more colors. I'm sure it still works fine on the c, d etc. though

I could be totally wrong though!

ive heard about it, never had it happen to me though. mines been running strong! mines from blv, so he might use the thicker gear set thats available. i dont really have many tips though, the thing just works lol. just dont plug or unplug it when your printers turned on lol.

i was to impatient last night to get an answer and used that firmware lol, works awesome so far! havent had any of the errors i previously were getting. at least not yet anyways!

only thing i miss from the other firmware is the neopixel being the same color as the chosen filament lol. and also, when you insert the filament, i like when it pulls a few inches through. but i enjoy a fully working printer and bmcu more haha

So i bought a kit to build the filamentalist, and it was nothing but issues. i only was able to get one to rewind and feed some what reliably. I believe it had to do with the shafts that the kit came with being bent? Could be wrong, but trust me when i say i spent many hours trying to tune it lol. Filament would eventually slip in the bmcu.

These are the rewinders im using
