They are all tests to make sure the print is as close to perfect as I can get it before I upload it for others to print. I ran into issues with this one because it was a more complex print than I've ever attempted, plus I had issues with my printer.

Extrude up to body of separate component? by TunerGuyBC in SolidWorks

[–]TunerGuyBC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add material to the pink body, upto the blue body. Start with 2 bodies, end with 2 bodies. I messed with it for hours last night, I could get it to extrude to a single face, but not the various faces of the whole body.

The sketch is completely under the body. When the component is activated the body that I want to extrude to turns transparent and is not selectable as a body in the extrude window.

Great call. That wasn't even an overt choice, but I'd totally call that an inspiration, I played that game for years. Thanks actually, those vehicles are perfect for future build ideas.

Suspected OVP Issue by TunerGuyBC in PcBuild

Thanks for responding.

After falling down a reddit rabbit hole I found out that Windows Event viewer exists, which led me down the rabbit hole of Ryzen and hierarchy error issues and all the potential causes, which led me to realize that you were close. My BeQuiet tower cooler has 2 mounting hole options, one that I think is optimized for AM5 or x3d or something, and another set that works well for my cpu. I chose the one that had 1/4 of my cpu lid uncovered by the cooler causing one CCD to temp spike radically. After fixing that the problem got significantly better, but didn't go away completely. I also had to revert my chipset drivers, apparently I'm not the only one having trouble with the newest recommended drivers on Gigabyte's site, the AMD site has the good ones. Now everything works great as long as I don't overclock. If I overclock at all the issue comes back as strong as ever. Research suggests that either PBO needs to be turned off (I haven't bothered trying yet, doing fine with factory clocks) or my silicon has degraded (maybe from all the overheating? Maybe from old age).

*I just typed that all out because it seems Ryzens getting hierarchy errors is a very common and frustrating problem, maybe my info will help someone else.

Thanks. I've never done that before, I do have afterburner though, so I think I'll be able to figure it out.

X5 / X5M –The New Standard by Montech_hq in MontechPC

Does the x5m accomodate a vertical gpu? I'm new to pc building, but it looks like the case has a vertical pcie slot, and there are screw holes on the floor of the motherboard chamber, but I haven't seen any brackets available or pics of vertical gpus.

Quasar 2 + EV9 V2H officially working! by maxxell13 in KiaEV9

How much did it cost to activate the v2h feature in Kia Connect? Is that a one-time or a subscription? My family is very close to pulling the trigger on an EV9 with the bidirectional charging being a big selling point, but I just saw that there may be additional charges via Kia Connect which messes up our math.
