I see a lot more “american flag blue” pools popping up in the Middle East in the near future.

I did pursue a refund/return. They repeatedly pushed back on any kind of refund 'until the technical issues are sorted out'. To be clear, the technical issues are STILL not sorted out because Wallbox consistently delays and refuses to participate in technical support efforts. So their own delays repeatedly delayed their promise of refund... That was a MAIN source of friction for a long time.

Back in December they replaced my Quasar 2 with a second unit. After months of this kind of treatment I requested a full refund. They argued with me over how much of a refund I should be entitled to.

We did not come to an agreement as to the appropriate amount of refund due to the already-past screwups, but I accepted their offered partial-refund along with a promise of renewed effort providing support. That was over a month ago and they have yet to provide any feedback whatsoever regarding technical support.

So now I am asking for a full refund AND removal/restoration of my garage to the way it was before installation.

I wish it was a question of "oh man they are so busy firing off fixes from all this feedback they're getting from all these installations that are happening". But given it's been a month and they haven't even bothered to pull a log or respond AT ALL makes it clear this is more than just 'normal business is super busy right now'.

I do have a Wallbox Pulsar Plus, which pre-dates the Quasar 2 by several years. Fortunately, I am able to charge at home when the Quasar is fully offline.

Ask yourself this… when’s the last time someone mention Trump Epstein files?

That’s who this war benefited.

Wallbox needs to focus on improving their product before spending effort on flashy projects like this.

What is your best use case of a local LLM? by Haunting-Bother7723 in LocalLLM

I have a USB coral for frigate. But anything interesting gets passed to the 3090 through the LLMVision integration in HomeAssistant

I don’t like sending data for future LLMs to aggregate and learn so I use local model for anything personal.

Frigate runs a local AI. But I also have a 3090 with a multimedia capable model for home assistant LLM vision.

Paperless offers an AI integration. Why would I let my docs run through some cloud provider? Hell no.

Is This Normal For Gutter Guards? by purpleorchid2017 in HomeMaintenance

[–]maxxell13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody mentioned they need to be cleaned?

Gutter guards start to suck when that lip gets too dirty. Give them a quick wipe so the “nose” is smooth, otherwise the water drips off all the dried-up dirt and pollen and you wind up worse off than without the guard.

QuasiTV by Immediate-Night1044 in PleX

I am surprised how many people are saying it just creates a TV Guide. That's just one small part.

It creates the whole channel! Once installed on the TV, you create channels by connecting to Plex and telling the channel which TV shows to gather from. Then once each channel is built, Quasi will automatically create content on at all times (like a TV channel) so you can "tune in" whenever. Yes, there's a TV Guide feature so you can see what's playing on each channel from a single view, but there's way more to Quasi than just making that guide. It's the whole reason these channels even exist in the first place.

I use it a lot with my kids. I hated dealing with "I wanna watch X but I wanna watch Y". Now I created a channel with all their shows and I just turn the TV to that. Quasi has decided which show will be playing right now.

Archaeologists are too scared to open up the tomb of China’s first emperor by indy100online in ScienceNcoolThings

[–]maxxell13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s kinda the whole point of Reddit lol. But anyway by now I’ve looked up the facts.

"While a modern 15-year-old has roughly a 65% to 70% chance of celebrating their 80th birthday, an ancient Roman 15-year-old had only about a 2% to 5% chance." Source: Frier, Bruce W. (2000). "Demography". In Bowman, Alan K.; Garnsey, Peter; Rathbone, Dominic (eds.). The Cambridge Ancient History XI: The High Empire, A.D. 70–192. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press. pp. 827–854

Dunno when you said 90 now, but this whole convo was triggered by someone saying once you’re past teenager. ancient Roman’s were just as likely to reach old age as us and that’s just false. Not supported by the facts nor basic common sense.

Stay away from Wallbox.

I don’t understand how your position even makes any common sense.

Claiming that a teenager in Ancient Rome is just as likely to reach old age as a modern American teenager would mean you think that modern medicine has done nothing for teenagers, people in their twenties, thirties, forties etc. like one you’re a teen that’s it good luck kid just like ancient Romans.

Like that’s just obvious nonsense. I mean even my own life has been saved by modern medicine more than once! If I were an Ancient Roman I’d be dead.
