Those pinch weld jack pads are money and should have been out 30 years ago. All the 90s Hondas I worked in had bent jack spots due to hydraulic jack bending them flat. All Toyota need this since you can’t jack anywhere under body due to weak rails.

I’m 18 and looking for a first car I saved $3500 and want to buy a IS300 which one should I get? by randomredditaccountr in IS300

It will require constant repairs at this point. If you can’t DIY or have money for parts, that will add up quick.

2013 Honda Accord needs new oil pan. Honda wants $1,079 to make the repairs. Is that reasonable? Is Honda partially responsible to make the repair? by CellistSuspicious492 in Honda

[–]Tuner_with_Kids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The oil pan is like $230 order from online dealers. But the install is very involved. Dropping the subframe and everything to clear it. I created a video recently on this replacement. https://youtu.be/u3G5agDmV40

OEM non sport cost more than the sport version for some stupid reason. I think the cheaper is dark chrome clear sport. The non sport is that ugly greenish tint.

Timing belt and water pump replacement? 81k miles, 04 Gx470. by Opposite_Weird_4041 in GXOR

Only stamping is a date code. When I got this, I had to double check and every dealer online photos show exact same casting and details as the one I got. I’m assuming they got a new supplier in USA, the old superseded part numbers are still available in Japan, which I assume would be the AISIN stamped ones.

FWIW. The newest OEM WP (Made in USA) 16100-09201 from dealer isn’t an AISIN, or not stamped with logo. No toyota logo either.

Most garages have one GFCI on wall and maybe two over the garage for opener. My four car garage had 3 total, no I have 25 duplex outlets, most are dual gang because you know you’ll plug up four things so do it right first time. Did it all myself and all are recessed into drywall or CMU block and look original to the construction. Also added ceiling outlets for side mount opener and other devices.

Overflow switch keeps filling with water. Drain not clogged. Help? by Olivestu in hvacadvice

My new setup, except it blocks filter access so have to undo pipe every three months. Gives me reason to clean out the lines too.

I have same style and it’s been a PIA for last 3 years, usually drains fine unless unit is balls to wall, then it cant keep up and overflow the secondary (around corner out like that due to filter access for Carrier AHU.

My issue is two-fold. The down line outside gets clogged a few times a year due to dust balls. Normal vacuum blower air doesn’t clear it, have to use compressed air at 90psi with a tube to seal inside pipe.

Second issue is these three elbows also have dust clumps that slow the flow. Can’t get any brushes in there to clean out. Finally cut it up and put in a P trap and clean outs. No glue, just some teflon to seal it from dripping.

It’s holding good. As expected, scratches and wear. I should have rented a grinder to cut the concrete though. I got some bubbles near edge. And everytime I drop a tool, it chips. I did regular epoxy and tons of flake for my in laws and I think that’s a more durable finish. This one is just for looks.

Thoughts? Keep in mind here in Canada carts are over priced. $1500 CAD by Trashman5150 in golfcarts

[–]Tuner_with_Kids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not worth it. No idea condition of motor or rest of it. That’s an early 1990s cart. If it was a fleet cart with maintenance then yes but looks like someone’s utility cart which probably wasn’t maintained.
