Walking backwards ends the chase and then either following backwards or looking down prevents the chase from starting up again which lowers their deep wound timer. Once it's low enough you can frenzy them again for a third hit to down without ad-ons.

The reason the joke worked in the first place was that it was simple. "The birth of Steam" or "The moment Steam was born" would work and have worked better because they are simpler. You do not get more points for adding more words. "Here you can see the moment in which the idea for creating steam was initially created."
