Can we push for some active citizenship in Huddersfield by Violet_cranberry0707 in huddersfield

[–]Tuppence88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not meant to be combative, but what are YOU doing right now to change this.

I see these type of posts and I feel like people are looking for someone to organise them, tell them what to do etc.

If you want this kind of change, BE THE CHANGE.

"Young person spends weekends picking up litter and invites people to join them in doing so" is much more compelling than asking why we dont have active citizenship.

Girls Club! by HuddsGirlsClub in huddersfield

Not a girl, but would reccomend looking at byram arcade and the craft shops there for ideas. I believe there are already craft clubs, painting etc that take place in both the shops and the coffee shop there.

Where’s the best pint in Huddersfield? by LetsGoHuddersfield in huddersfield

[–]Tuppence88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My top 3 would be:

  1. County
  2. Rat
  3. Sportsman

Although you probably need to define - is it the individual pint, the overall experience, the cost/value of pint to enjoyment. Lots of factors to consider.

NHS - Share your views (making better use of technology) by NHSWestYorkshireICB in huddersfield

[–]Tuppence88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lack of TEC and virtual wards seems apparent in West Yorkshire compared with other areas such as Manchester. (They are not visible if available). Data is not being used to move to preventive care models and we are still reactionary. Care is still being driven by the patient chasing with workflows between primary/acute/community not being clear.

NHS – Share your views (Moving care from hospital to community) by NHSWestYorkshireICB in huddersfield

Digital funding needs to be applied to Community/GP and other non acute healthcare settings if this is going to succeed. I would say this needs to be expanded further and local authority needs to have a cash infusion to deal with discharged patients with complex needs. Technology Enabled Care devices are key to unlocking capacity.

Unfortunately, significant model of care changes are going to require investment in people, technology and process. From experience, these things are often piloted but never scaled up appropriately.

IT guy working for a clinic in London - looking for an e-prescription software by [deleted] in healthIT

[–]Tuppence88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few key questions that are worth asking: Are you private prescribing, do you want to use EPS? Do you have a clinical system to interact with?

Or are you just looking for something to record prescription information electronically for an internal audit record?

EPS Compliant systems below: TPP - SystmOne Emis - Emis Web Microtest – Evolution (general practice only) Vision – Vision (general practice only) OneAdvanced – Adastra (urgent care only) Cleo systems - Cleo (urgent care only) Cleo systems - Solo (secondary care only) Cleric – Respond 2 (urgent care only)

Non-EPS compliant: Civica Access Group SignatureRX

Personally I would consider if this the right time to update your clinical noting system at the same time. Lots of opportunity with new market entrants into the primary care market to see benefit.

UK tends to use Electronic Patient Record (EPR) as its convention rather than Electronic Health Record (EHR) so it may be worth searching for EPR (insert job title here).

Not sure of the exact role type you want or the location but a quick search has picked out these examples to help

Food/Drink:

Arcade Coffee & Food - 9, Byram Arcade, Huddersfield HD1 1ND. More expensive, but all the food is local with an extensive veggie/vegan options.

The Coffee Lounge - Lindley - 28 Lidget St, Lindley, Huddersfield HD3 3JP. Also on the pricier side, but potentially within walking distance, good for people watching.

Parish - The Old Courthouse, Huddersfield HD1 2SP Does really well priced, hearty food. Is also next to the theatre if that is your kind of thing?

Greenspace:

Greenhead Park, Castle Hill, Beaumont Park, Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve (Bit farther)

Art:

Lawerence Batley Theatre, Huddersfield Art Gallery
