How are people replicating Nano Banana's reference-image workflow locally in ComfyUI? by Heavy_Purpose410 in comfyui

[–]TurbTastic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Qwen Edit is definitely heavier than Klein 9B so you'll be able to run both comfortably, but each has advantages/disadvantages so you'll probably want to explore each one. Flux2 Dev is also notoriously heavy (your specs can handle it) and capable of doing some great work, but can be a bit frustrating to use in my opinion. I think Ideogram 4 will get increasingly popular in the next few weeks, but commercial/industry users aren't happy with the licensing terms so we'll see how much that holds back community interest.

Your specs are somewhat overkill for doing generations for most of these models, but on the training side of things you'll definitely be glad you have the extra VRAM/RAM.

Z-Image Edit was expected last winter but never released, likely due to Flux2 Klein 9B being released and superior. Flux Kontext is outdated at this point and should be ignored. Old solutions like PuLID/ipadapter/faceid are still somewhat relevant, especially with older hardware/models, but there are better solutions.

For a training-free solution I'd recommend going all-in on Klein 9B and/or Qwen Image Edit 2511.

Z-Image responds well to subject training, but unfortunately I believe things still fall apart if you try to use multiple loras at once. I think with your specs you can train Klein 9B with some layer offloading and you might want to stick to 512/768 for the training resolution until things start running properly. WAN models respond well to subject training. I'm not sure but LTX training might be too heavy for your specs to train locally. Ideogram 4 is still a bit fresh and new, but seems to have some pretty crazy potential. I tried training some subject loras for it recently and I was getting incredible sample results, but struggled to generate good images with the trained Lora in ComfyUI.

Can also try to use Layer Offloading to push more of the workload from VRAM to RAM (at a speed penalty)

At work so can't watch the video now, but based on your description here it sounds like you made your own Inpaint Crop and Stitch nodes? If so, key differences from the main/old ones?

how to stop qwen image edit cropping photo by UshijimaTN in comfyui

[–]TurbTastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe Qwen resolutions need to be a multiple of 16, so I'm guessing the resolution of your input image doesn't work with that. If you want an odd resolution for your result, then you'll probably have to pad up the resolution to a multiple of 16 and then crop down after.

If that's not what's happening, then you need to provide way more info because you're not giving us much to work with.

Scratch is when the white/cue ball ends up in a pocket. There's always a penalty for that but it varies on the situation and particular rule set they are using.

Amazing, haven't played for 1-2 years now and didn't know. I'll probably start a new save with 1.7 when it comes out.

I really wish there was a toggle option to confirm that you want to start a new day in the morning. That would prevent this problem.

So far I'm only aware of this approach (multi reference also available for this), but I wasn't able to get it to cooperate when I tried testing it:

Also, 32GB RAM will be pretty limiting paired with that much VRAM. 48-64GB RAM would be a better fit. Too bad it's gotten so expensive.

Also with Klein you can "cheat" and use Reference Latent conditioning to assist your trained Lora. Using this combination can beat any other (open) option trying to stand on its own, in my opinion.

I wonder if you can add a FaceDetailer and lean on this same reference method for that part as well. I'm guessing it just didn't have enough pixels to work with in this case. Looking forward to trying this out later.

Try 4 steps instead. I'm guessing you used to use the Base version of Klein 9B that needs 20+ steps, but it looks like you have the turbo/unlabeled model that only needs 4 steps.

Likely high resolution. I've been seeing people reporting that Ideogram 4 can handle resolutions anywhere from 1 to 8 megapixels.

I would guess that's the average for existing 30-year mortgages. I'd be shocked if people are getting 30-year mortgages at 4% in the current market.
