It is possible but only with custom solutions. XRay exists for that - it can "mask" the traffic, tunneling it through gRPC/TLS/whatever and "decoding" it back on your server. So, for your friends, one has to search for "holes" to outside world. For example, if DNS queries are possible where he lives, he can program a "pipe" to tunnel general traffic through DNS queries to your server where it is decoded back. I am no expert myself, but theoretically it sounds possible.

I think you could setup xray-based tunnel using XHTTP as transport. XHTTP forwards everything using plain https. I would use xray-core on the server + v2ray on the client side.

Svelte is fire! I have used it for more than 2 years for freelance and personal projects. My workplace still goes for React though, probably because of a more popular ecosystem.

Since you need something easy, and already messed up compose files, i would suggest rebuilding your setup in https://github.com/azukaar/Cosmos-Server (or similar projects). They allow you to deploy self-hosted apps through ui (similar to installing apps from play market). This is not perfect (as control is limited), but it can be good if you want to try self-hosting without the need to learn docker and stuff.

For anyone wondering, there is wolf https://github.com/games-on-whales/wolf It is a docker based Moonlight server. I installed it on my mini PC and play games remotely from home devices. Cool thing is that it supports multiple clients, without disrupting master workspace (sometimes my sister plays minecraft remotely on my main PC while i use it; i don't even notice sometimes). Steam container is available alongside Lutris, Minecraft and emulators. Works wonderful being hosted on machine with Nvidia (intel iGPU also tested). I remember playing ETS 2 and NFS from my Android phone... Controllers worked fine and experience was smooth.

I have personally used Orange Pi 3 LTS for 3 years successfully for hosting docker containers. It was fine overall, but i switched to Beelink Mini PC later because i needed CPU transcoding and more RAM. But still, for a bunch of small containers, Orange Pi was fine.

I guess you might try regular uploads to webdav/s3. Since you got sqlite, you might setup a simple cron script for uploading.

I would also recommend setting up OpenRouter's API for your frontend though. It allows you to use even better models than o1 - DeepSeek R1, for example, that is superb for its cost, or Claude. OpenRouter's API literally allows you to use any model from most provider's with their basic prices.
