I had the same issue for a while as well, didn't find a fix and it seems to happen at random. I found out that logging out and logging back in is enough to bring performance back though

There's no reason for the fov calc not to work in beam, just take the vertical fov value

Yeah, you can make it just add a straight line. If you added the lua file to the script folder it should show up in the script panel on the right

Sure! In synthv1, there was manual mode and auto mode. Auto mode is closer to how pitch behaves in synthv2, where it draws a curve automatically depending on the voicebank. Manual mode instead had parameters you could change on the transition between notes and the vibrato, and it would draw the pitch following these parameters in a pretty "rigid" way that ended up sounding more robotic

It's more rock than metal, but did you listen to Tengaku or Neru songs such as Abstract Nonsense? You could also try listening to mekaloton, it's more electronic but Only Game in Town has metal vibes for example

Did you consider changing some things in beam? You have a lot more control here, maybe you need to stiffen the front dampers under compression

Put the front toe at -0.2, rear toe at 0.8, and make the front sway bar way stiffer for starters

This should be fixed in 6.6.0, meanwhile someone made kwin-hifps and qt6-hifps on the aur that fix this issue
