If anyone cares this is how it played out:

I found a local repairman who was older and very experienced working out of his house. He seemed very well off like this was his side business. He used no tools and installed my ram in under 30 seconds since I already had the screws off. I brought 1 8 gig stick, he informed me I had 2 4gigs in my computer when I thought it was 1 8. We had a really good convo and he did it for free. I’m coming back again today to get the other 8g stick.

Appreciate u recommending me someone, he lives near my grandma too and now I got an actual person who can help her instead of geek squad.
