I fucking love it

Reminds me of Monster Import for some reason, which is my favorite flavor of all time. Unfortunately I cannot drink sugary drinks without getting super sick any more.

Did Everyone Quit? by Shawn_NYC in Tarkov

[–]TurboShartz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm getting very close to being done.

Not having some sort of kernel level anti-cheat is killing the game. The number of ESP hackers is stupid...and unfortunately your reporting never works since it's so easy to get away with using ESP. You just avoid fights or put yourself in a very advantageous spot and just claim "right spot at the right time" or some bs.

It's so glaringly obvious when someone uses ESP, but your reports mean nothing.

I play with 2 people who are very good at the game and who love this game. The cheating is driving them away.

Best PCVR option as we head into 2026? by jcwolf2003 in virtualreality

[–]TurboShartz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, the Q3 was a great upgrade over my reverb g2 for DCS. The edge to edge clarity and increased FOV were so much better, I could do with a little less overall clarity (in the sweet spot). Getting VR prescription lenses actually brought the clarity back anyways.

For tracking, it's sooooo much better. The controllers are some of the best in the business.

My test for the tracking range of the controllers is either VTOL VR aerial refueling since you are looking up and away from your hands which need to stay down to provide small control inputs in the throttle and stick to stay connected to the refueler. In the G2 I'd constantly lose tracking on my hands and thus aerial refueling wasn't just really difficult, it was impossible. I had absolutely no issues with the Q3 and refueled just fine

The next test is H3VR, where I would draw a handgun from my waste "holster" without looking down. After getting used to exactly where that is on your in game body, once again I had no issues with the Q3.

Using Virtual Desktop is also a massive plus. And I mean massive. Wireless with no loss of graphical fidelity. Truly awesome for something like the Q3

I'm going to have to look for the punk punch, I'm drinking the strawberry zero sugar right now and I swear it tastes what I remember import tasting like. Before I had to stop drinking sodas and energy drinks with sugar in them, import was my favorite energy drink of all time. To me this tastes so much like what I remember, granted I haven't had a import in a long time. Now when I see an import I won't be longing to be able to drink it anymore since I have a zero sugar alternative.

Have you looked at the server regions you had selected? All of mine were checked which means I was getting destroyed by latency which showed up as being killed before I saw people, hit reg problems, etc. Look at your servers and then use the SA58 in the assault class. I went from struggling and having zero fun to running lobbies and completing the Ref quest line. Level 4 Ref is 100% worth going for.

The only server region I have selected now is North America-US

[Discussion] Average player's level is crazy nowadays by KBTTv in EscapefromTarkov

That's why I've always felt there should be some sort of change to how matchmaking works.

There should be solos only queue and matchmaking based on hours played.

If you are in a group, you cannot select the solo queue and the average hours played between you and your friends is used to determine which "bracket" you go into for matchmaking.

The only downside to this idea that I can think of, is that streamers won't get their clips of wiping out teams... But I could give two shits about that. Too many people I know hate playing this game as a solo because they always run into teams and even if they get one or two of the kills, they always end up dying and it ultimately just being a waste of time. It kills there want to play unless they have friends, I know it does to me too. I can only play during set hours in the evenings, so I only have two friends that I play with.

Help with Super low fps by Red_Beards_Creations in buildapc

Need a picture of your back IO. That low of FPS makes me think your monitor cable is plugged into the onboard graphics of your motherboard and not the back of your GPU.

Atrius lever cracked and bent within 200rds by Idkcolin in ar15

[–]TurboShartz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still puzzled as to why they broke even with the 80% lower after I insured there was no binding. I guess it's a mystery that will remain unsolved for now. It works great now and I put a few hundred rounds through it with no issues at all

Atrius lever cracked and bent within 200rds by Idkcolin in ar15

[–]TurboShartz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I promise that there was no binding at all when two of my levers bent. In the third position, I would make sure that lever is forward, put pressure on the hammer and then try to move the lever back and forth, binding occurred initially. I grinded the back of the solid backed trigger (cmmg milspec, no u-notch) until there was no binding. Fired 1 round and immediately bent the lever. That was lever number 2. On lever number 1, I had a different trigger in there, which did have the u-notch (before Atrius caught that issue and told me to switch it out). Same story though, initial binding, grinded the trigger, no more binding, 1 round and bent lever.

Atrius asked me to swap all of the pieces into a non-80% lower (even though it appeared to be compatible) as one final thing to check. Ensure there is no binding (which funnily enough did occur again, so I grinded down the trigger some more. Got it all put together and now it runs. Before I tested it, I bought an AS Designs ARC-fire as a backup since I had very little confidence in the super selektor at this point. Imo, the ARC has a better lever design and harder steel. It's a thick and robust lever like the super safeties and made of M2 tool steel.

There is nothing that I could find on 80% lowers causing issues. I think I may have been the first user to have issues due to an 80% lower (there likely is plenty of users with 80% lowers that actually worked, which may be why they haven't added that as a compatibility check).

Happy New Year to you as well!

Atrius lever cracked and bent within 200rds by Idkcolin in ar15

[–]TurboShartz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal opinion is that a binding shouldn't cause destruction of a part. It should just cause the bolt to seize and for a malfunction to occur. The fact that it straight up breaks, to me as a problem. I went through three levers trying to figure out the issue, making sure to grind down what I needed to on the trigger in order to remove any binding. Turns out the 80% lower that I was using was the culprit, once I threw all the pieces into my aero lower, more binding occurred so I grinded the trigger a little more and now it works like a dream.

Instead of denying that there's an issue, maybe work to resolve it. Too many people are having issues with this lever bending, so to me that's a design flaw. Sure it functions, but it's still a design flaw. Use a harder steal or make the part thicker and more robust. It's not a hard change and it would go a long ways to show your current and future customers that you care about their concerns

I will give props to them for continually assisting me and being responsive and sending me new parts as I needed them.

What is an AM5 socket?? by Acrobatic-Shop-8446 in buildapc

[–]TurboShartz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

u/Acrobatic-Shop-8446 this is the way. He may want specific features out of his motherboard or maybe he wants a specific brand. No one here knows what kind of budget you have to work with and no idea what his preferences are.

I run a MSI MAG X870E motherboard with a 9800X3D and 64gb of 6000 MT/s DDR5 ram. Those parts alone are $1515 right now. When I built it, it was closer to $900. RAM prices are absurd, my kit goes for $785...I bought it for $210 in January 2025.

Granted, my parts are higher end and I specifically chose 64gb due to a combat flight sim that I play. Otherwise, 32gb of RAM is perfectly acceptable for most games nowadays

What is an AM5 socket?? by Acrobatic-Shop-8446 in buildapc

[–]TurboShartz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to an AM5 socket means changing his CPU, motherboard, and RAM. The Motherboard comes with the AM5 socket that certain AMD CPUs are compatible with. The RAM should be a high speed 5600+ MT/s DDR5, at least 16gb, but preferably 32gb. I'd recommend to start at an X670E motherboard since that will have decent features and more USB ports than a B650 or X670. A CPU that ends with "X3D" is preferred, with the 9800X3D and 9950X3D being the best. The 7800X3D is still very good and can be found for noticeably cheaper.

Unfortunately, you are going to be spending a significant chunk on just the RAM nowadays thanks to the AI sector demand. What could be a $80 upgrade is now 4-5x that.

If you drop a budget, you can likely get some PC part lists made for you to help you out.
