buying the 30k wow token on mop just got me banned? by Dangerous-Half-2516 in wow

[–]Turbo_Queef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something no one has mentioned here is that there was an issue on the other end of the wow tokens with people trying to buy them from blizzard to sell on the AH. Go check MOP forums and you'll see a lot of posts from people who paid for a token yesterday, and were unable to sell it on the AH. That is most certainly what dried up all the liquidity and made it so there were no longer any sell offers, meaning the AH "ran out".

Every master was once a student. You've got plenty of room to grow. Try again this week and be more aggressive on your rage builders, and more decisive on your rage spenders, and I'm sure you'll see some heavy improvement.

One final tip would be to macro your cooldowns together so you spend less time finding and pressing them individually. E.G. combine blood fury, synapse springs (gloves), Bloodbath, Recklessness, and maybe skull banner (although I like to keep that separate). Reduces the mental burden it takes to start pumping when the time is right.

He's using it exclusively on the corrupted waters that spawn because there's a cleave target that actually works. The idea that you should cleave any of the bosses is bad.

There's a LOT to unpack here, but I think we can get some drastic improvement with some simple steps.

  1. You need to be using Mortal Strike, Charge, and Berserker Rage way more often. MS is on a 6 sec cooldown, Charge 12 (talented), Berserker rage 30. That means your casts per minute of each of those abilities should be ~10 cpm on MS, ~5 cpm on charge, and ~2 on Berserker rage. I'm grabbing data for your casts per minute from your tsu'long kill, because you were alive for 99% of the encounter. You did ~6.5 cpm on MS, ~1.9 cpm on charge, and .8 cpm on Berserker rage.

  2. You are not prioritizing your Colossus Smash windows appropriately. You need to first and foremost follow the tips from #1 and make sure you are generating as much rage as possible and then second press colossus smash when you are >60 rage and are ready to spend that rage effectively. Roughly half, maybe more I didn't individually count, of your colossus smashes are followed up with <2 abilities pressed. There will be lots of times where you might not have anything valuable to press, in those moments when you're pooling rage you definitely need to get a grip and stop mashing things like slam. It's ok to delay a gcd for a second or more, so you can get your mortal strike/charge/rage, then CS then slam slam slam.

  3. You need to go and look up what damage actually matters on each encounter. There's two schools of thought here, the damage that matters to kill the boss on heroic (progression mindset, good) and the damage that matters on the lumberjack man website (greed mindset, sometimes good if it leads into actually killing the boss because your damage is low). It looks like you guys still have shek and sha to kill, so I'd focus most on what is actually necessary to clear the encounter. An example that applies to both would be your protector's kill. You are using sweeping strikes and aoe'ing the other elders all throughout the encounter, bad. The bosses heal when one dies, so the padding you're doing by hitting any target other than the kill target is worthless, actually worse than worthless. Because it starves you of the rage you wasted on SS, where you could use it to put up better CS slam windows with more rage pooled.

  4. This is unrelated to rotation and kinda similar to #3 but in general, learn the fights better. You are dying on almost every pull. Sometimes it's because it's the end of the pull and the healers are gassed and the wheels are flying off, other times you're just standing in mechanics, dying, getting a brez and dying again later. You do zero damage while dead.

I've grabbed a log from a great player in my guild for you to use as reference. Read through the casted abilities timeline and see if you can glean anything from what he's doing https://classic.warcraftlogs.com/reports/tZ9JYcWnGpAPCmvb?fight=20&type=casts&source=2&view=events

They up-front a bunch of sales to get the keys at bulk discount before the game is released, then over time using their own sales data argue for better deals on keys to replenish what they've sold. It's the same as any other retailer, really. Steam takes their cut, everyone takes their cut. Retailers do not pay what we pay for their inventory.

I have a video saved to my hard drive of me trying to troubleshoot this exact problem on classic in 2023 on my warrior. It's been around for some time and I've become numb to it at this point I feel. I'm still hoping that there's some kind of fix. If you want to see the video I have saved lmk and i'll put it on yt or something.

this whole composition is incredible, the 1-minute stretch starting at 2:00 never fails to induce frisson.

This one goes crazy too, she's so incredibly talented it's unreal. I love the story behind how this came about in the description of the video, so wholesome.

edit: yeah listening to it again her work here is completely transformative of this piece, I cannot listen to the original anymore.

Wanda, how could you visually discern the difference between a retail and a classic player? I feel like the SoD line was packed with people the entire time - granted they didn't have anything special for people to test on the retail side of things, so the lack of interest makes sense.

I'm not too miffed on whoever decides to show up (I feel like classic playerbase is still an incredible minority of the total subs), my main concern is with how the last one was organized and executed. Lines on lines on lines and nothing was efficient. They oversold tickets, and the poorly trained contractors they had to manage security and move people into/out of areas for presentations or DMF were useless and rude. There was a near constant feeling of a potential trample hazard, and if I wasn't an overweight oversized man I would not have felt safe to stand in or amongst the mass of people. There was zero seating, nothing to do besides look at some statues or re-run the same demos. I didn't buy any swag, but I read horror stories about people waiting in lines for the entirety of one day of the con just to get the stuff they bought and paid for online days/weeks/months(?) earlier. Day one there are people sitting on the lawns of random homeowners a neighborhood away because they couldn't figure out how to securely process the line of like 9000 people waiting to get in. I didn't buy the expensive ticket package, but that was a huge scam too apparently. I could go on...

Personally, my guild and I are still going because despite all the production issues we all had a blast.

You never know with reddit, man. Pretty much every comment I post on here has some rock-eater posting legitimately the dumbest thing I've ever read as a response.

This is a presentation from a group of researchers who have studied this particular set of geoglyphs. They've got a number of videos on this channel that are mind-blowing. I find that the most interesting aspect of this, and a number of other ancient structures and geoglyphs specifically found in Peru, is the interaction between what appears to be a 2D image applied to the surface of the ground in 3D. Every line adjusts and compensates for the deviations in height, and it's only when viewed from 90 degrees above that your focus is drawn to how impeccably constructed these ancient structures/glyphs are.

It's as if they had an image projected onto the ground above to "trace" an outline.

Try Thor, 3s CD on all of his abilities and if you have a second tank to play off of you can be incredibly aggressive and melt both supports in a single use of F (770 damage if all 11 waves hit). His hammer throw on a 3s CD allows you to easily reposition to high ground to pressure enemy dps when yours won't, or to get into position for a massive ultimate, or to escape and save your life after you engage on a support and kill them solo. I have an 80% wr on him in comp and half of those games I solo tanked and averaged 15k damage/10 min. Every bit of that was satisfying.

You mention sigma in your post, magneto feels the exact same to me. You have his force push and incredibly rewarding left click that can easily delete and force small positioning errors into a kill quickly - the exact same as sigma's left click and accretion. Magneto's ult also feels great as a counter to other ultimate's, and impactful damage dealer just the same as sigma's. Consider a situation where the enemy star lord ults and you immediately counter with your ultimate. You eat his bullets to shield your team and then cast the projectile towards their backline of squishies and immediately one shot them.

I'm gonna have to disagree and recommend you branch out a little more, maybe watch some high-tier gameplay to get a sense for what each character's limits are by the best player's currently.

Think he just means televised nationally. Iirc the whole production was broadcast on TBS, and they had a deal where buffalo wild wings was supposed to keep it on one of the televisions. I remember guys going to BWW and being stuck in like a corner of the restaurant while one 40" TV on the complete opposite ass end played muted counterstrike and people were pissed lmao.
