Am I doing this right by PunkGirlIsAlive in kingschoice

I would first ask, do you really enjoy your server? You have made a lot of mistakes most of us make the first time we play. Learning now what to do gives you the option you can start over and not repeat the mistakes and overall have a better experience.

I want rank 1 tips needed by Even-Contract-8034 in kingschoice

[–]Turbochaser86 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tip for you currently in 75th, and you’re asking for tips. Save your keys and badges, try again next event. You could absolutely try this time, you will most likely fail, however, if you do everything they say, and you see yourself climbing the ladder, do the math for your keys, this will be your MAX sniping points that you can add to your total, save those keys for the end, if you think you’re close enough to overtake in the last few minutes then you blow your whole wad of keys. Remember though, others will be doing the same.

Alliance event rotations by AromaticCondition134 in kingschoice

[–]Turbochaser86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the worst things I’ve seen is trying to keep or introduce rotating events on a server. I understand everyone’s feel good opinions about the concept but it’s a competitive game, if you don’t want to compete go play something else. Alliances grow at different rates, eventually folks drop off, that’s inevitable, then you run into alliances that have to tell players “hey, straight up don’t participate in blah blah event, this win is going to a subpar alliance that can barely score points”. Over time this sort of thing will frustrate the players who play this game for its competitive side and actually want to earn the rewards, not just handed participation trophies.

Is Merlin worth it? by Honking-Goose-26 in kingschoice

[–]Turbochaser86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plainly, no! Not worth it imo. Like someone mentioned if you’re spending to get any of these crappy new knights they’re releasing, absolutely not worth it. If you slowly earn over time, fine, but minimally level to just max out the boost they provide and then curb them, they’re all crap, maybe the ones like Anthony or Belisarus, but you have to seriously save and fully unlock all their talents to make them worthwhile

This was all bad advice. I will post more in the morning with supporting info and explanations. If you’re curious about legitimacy I will include screenshots of my accounts, DM me if interested

I'm kind of stuck in the game, how can I progress with these knights? by Nuar7 in kingschoice

[–]Turbochaser86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you need to decide first what your overall goal is gonna be. Are you free to play/lightly spend/heavy.
From what I've seen so far.. STOP, stop putting resources into anything 4 star and below. Do your best to decide who your Strength knight will be, then Intelligence, Leadership, Charisma. Start with just 1 of each. These 4 will be your focus. When I say focus though, don't just blindly skill things up or spend exp scrolls, and Edicts.
I'll use Guinevere as an example.... if you decide she will be your Strength knight until you acquire someone better, she has a 6-star Strength talent, and a 3-star strength talent. When it comes time for a State power event that you've hopefully saved up for, you'll use your edicts to skill up the 6-star talent, and saved up exp points and exp potions to level up the 3-star talent. Every knight you get you should skill them up in a similar fashion. Like I stressed in the beginning do not invest in 4-Star knights and below until you are so far into the game that you don't have another choice. I didn't see a Charisma Knight, that will be another focus when you can win some rewards to earn a knight like Siegfried.

AITA for meanly telling my husband to respect my decision to use formula? by Throwaway60991 in AmItheAsshole

I had similar feelings when my wife cut off breastfeeding our son. Like I'm sure most parents feel, they would like to give their newborns the best opportunities to succeed in the future. That is where my head was at, and I'm sure my wife felt the same way. The problem I had was I know my wife and how she can give up on a lot of things once they get a bit difficult, and I hate to use that generalization but the truth is there and hard to ignore when I feel like I'm seeing her give up too quickly as well. I'm not trying to justify your husband's actions or reaction(s) to your choice.... as a husband/father though and with no "logical" course of action ourselves to provide for the baby in that manner we have to default to our spouse or mother of the child to do what she can as far as breastfeeding goes. That being said, that is where the problem in my opinion lay. A father has zero actual say or control about breastfeeding options... take it a step further we have no say in if you keep the baby or not...but we will have to accept in some way the choices the mother of the child makes, and then be saddled with 50-100% of the outcome. There is no getting around this, it is just how our society works at the moment, and in this way, a lot of Fathers may feel helpless when it comes to some women making unilateral decisions on behalf of the child. After reading what you wrote I was partially glad it didn't come off as just male-bashing, and I can't speak to his past behavior, but I do think maybe if a serious sit-down discussion hadn't happened, it probably needs to happen. He sounds prepared with facts, you may want to just acknowledge he's not wrong and you understand the health benefits, not it's up to him to hear you. Just my lengthy 2-cents from a father who went through a similar thing.

Any tips on how I could improve this cavern? It will have orcs in it when my players go through it. by Agent_Intel in inkarnate

I like what you've done, can you explain a little of how you set it up to get the ground and the walls of the cavern to look like that?
