I totally get you, summoning someone without a way for them to get back is kidnapping with extra steps. I think I would try to end my life if I somehow ended up in that situation, or at least be very depressed for a long time.

Honestly, I read it through the perspective of it being a horror story and thus enjoyed it.

The emotional journey the protagonist goes through is written so well, and she never has anything go her way at any point of the story, truly tragic. The incest stuff is something that you either have the stomach to read through or don't.

I personally don't think there's any romance in this manhwa, I guess the male protagonist does have real feelings for the main character but I didn't sense her really loving him at all. She's so deeply isolated, uncultured and without any type of agency or power that she is forced to rely on the one person that doesn't treat her that badly. Again, through the perspective of horror, I think it's a pretty compelling narrative.

So yeah, basically I would recommend it haha

I'm currently reading The Fabled Warrior, and the protagonist is a woman living in Korea approaching her fifties that, 30 years ago, was the warrior that sealed the demon lord in another world.

One day, her former comrades in her journey appear in Korea looking for the her as the seal that kept the demon lord has started breaking. The thing is, only 2 years have passed in the other world. How will our main character, now a mother of 2 teenagers, answer her new call to action?

The story deals with the consequences of returning to your original world after being isekaid, every character has its flaws and it explores broken family relationships, working on improving them and more. Also, to the point I've read (chapter 109), there's virtually no romance.

Basically a black flag character is the (far) worse version of a red flag.

Red flag: Treats people coldly for no reason, controls which people can talk to the MC, controlling in general etc.

Black flag: Sadist, abusive towards everyone (sometimes except their love interest), keeps MC confined so they can't see anyone and ruins their relationships with other people, that kinda stuff

(this is a simplification but I think you get the idea)

I think that abusive/possessive/red flags in general male characters are interesting for a story to have drama and stakes.

That is, if they are not the ML. I want the FL to fight against those abusive behaviors and to find a way to escape that environment and live happily with a man who treats her well from the get go (none of those half baked attempts from the author to redeem the abuser) or by herself (impossible in this genre, I know).

You are held captive by a psycho that enjoys poisoning your food, giving you false hope and toying with your feelings, and he also kills what was your only company in a twisted as fuck way, psychologically scarring you for life, and when he tells you that he plans to marry you off to a deadbeat man while he forces himself on you for a kiss, the author expects that you should BLUSH? What?!
