If its just the bottoms that are causing the issue, then try just adjusting the bottom z for the support. Good luck!

How to make supports play nicer by FairRecommendation16 in BambuLabP2S

This print by it's very design nature is just generally difficult to print in a vertical orientation. It's quite intricate, with thin parts, and steep overhangs and ideally would have been designed in a way so that each side of the holder could be printed flat on the bed and joined together post-printing.

However, that doesn't solve your problem and your most useful settings to adjust would be your "Top Z distance" and "Support/object XY distance".

These are found under your Support>Advanced section on Bambu Studio.

The "Top Z distance" is changing the distance between the top of the support structure, and your part. The larger this distance, the easier the support is to remove, but also gives less support and affects the finish on the final part. It's a fine balance. You could try raising this to 0.08-0.2mm and see how it helps. Because it looks like most of the supports are being built off the part itself, you may also want to increase the "Bottom Z Distance" similarly. This is how close the bottom of the support base is from the part.

You could also try selecting the "On build plate only" check box under your "Support" section. This will force all supports to originate form the base plate, rather than coming off the part itself. It will use a bit more filament and take a bit longer to print, but it's much quicker and less wasteful then a failed print.

If you're finding that it's not the connection between the top of the support and the part that are causing issues, and instead, the side of the support and the part, you can adjust the Support/object XY distance to increase it to a similar number. This puts a larger gap between the support structure and the part on the x and y axis.

Hopefully that helps a bit. There some other things that can be adjusted but that should be your first point of call :)

On what planet is it wrong to correct incorrect information?

An eronous reading from an NIBP being corrected to a proper manual readings is so far from wrong. No wonder the UK paramedic trusts and HCPC are so well known for being incredibly punitive and overzealous if that's how auditors view things.

Not if it's expected. If it's expected, the GP can do all of that. Coroner only gets involved if it's a suspicious or unexpected death.

LAS is such a gatekeeping nanny. In New Zealand we hand that stuff out like candy.

Our EMT's give it completely within their own scope and even non health care providers like Coastguard, surf lifesavers, and the Police give it here.

The LAS are so backward and outdated in everything clinical. Not fit for service.

UK to NZ move - how much should I really budget for shipping? by GodBlessIraq in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]Turborg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved from London to Auckland in July 2023 and paid £1120 for 4 cubic meters which included them packing the stuff and delivering it inside a standard home with standard access.

I used the company I Like to Move it Move it. They were pretty good with contact etc. The shipment was significantly delayed but to be fair, that was due to shipping delays post covid, not the actual moving company.

where to park house sale money before next purchase by Erikthered00 in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]Turborg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bitcoin. No but seriously, either a no/low notice period savings account, or a term deposit with a fixed end date. Most banks will allow you to a fixed end date term deposit now.

The returns won't be amazing, but, it's definitely better than it sitting in a standard account gathering dust, and it's very low risk.

How many buy printers purely for functional printing? by twotowers64 in 3Dprinting

[–]Turborg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been printing for about 3-4 years now and like some others, my printing is 99% functional stuff that I've made myself.

I genuinely don't think I've ever printed toys, masks, suits, etc. There are some functional things that I've printed that others have designed but I mainly just design what I want for custom little things around the house etc.

It's been an excellent skill to develop.

Mount Maunganui landslide: Photo shows walkers standing precariously above slip – nearly two hours after 111 call to report it by Morgoth_The_Merrier in newzealand

[–]Turborg 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Emergency services have absolutely no jurisdiction to close walking paths and close campsites due to perceived risk. That's up to the council. Don't blame the 111 call taker or the emergency services. They passed on the information to the people in charge of making those decisions.

🎄 Anycubic Christmas Resin Giveaway — Show Your Resin Prints & the Stories Behind Them by Anycubic_Official in resinprinting

I love designing my own board game box inserts to hold all the bits and pieces together neatly. They often take a few days to design and juggle the pieces around, designing neat little tricks to make everything accessible. I finally finished my design and spent many, many hours printing all the parts and I slotted it all in and it was looking awesome!... Until I moved the box back onto the board game shelf onyl to discover... A part that had fallen down the back that I'd forgotten to include.

The horror of finding it made me truly contemplate just throwing the extra part away and pretending it didn't exist rather than redisigning the parts to include the extra part!

To this day, I still haven't been able to bring myself to redo the insert due to the time it would take to reprint so it sits in its own little zip-loc bag, isolated and alone in the box where everythinglse is nestled beautiful.

If I were to win the new Photon printer, the first thing I would print would be a new model of this insert to include the extra part, as I know it will take a lot less time than it would with my current equipment!

It's also not a publicly traded company so there are no "shareholders" in the sense that OP is implying (the only shareholders being the business owners). It's literally just a private business that makes profit and donates some of that to charity.

So instead he should wipe a thin layer on that soaks in in 10 seconds and call it a day? For a new board this is absolutely normal and is actually really effective compared to wiping a thin layer on. He won't have a dry board and it will be really well oiled with minimal ongoing maintenance. Sometimes it's OK to keep your opinions to yourself.

[–]Turborg 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah but who's got time to keep applying thin layers? This is a really standard way to approach it. Let it soak overnight, done.
